Just beautiful. Really hasn’t aged and one of Astons most elegant modern design.

My Vanquish will be the last car of mine to go when inevitably they do start going.

Full carbon-fibre bodyshell, naturally-aspirated V12, timeless interior (with lightweight buckets in my case) - they are not making cars like this any more and never will again.

The spec on yours with those carbon buckets is so rare. Beautiful…

Agreed. And not silly money either.
Relatively depreciation proof also, so a good buy now I'd say.

Yes they seem to be holding up well price wise now. As long as you go TTronic 111 gearbox as I believe this was a vast improvement over the TT 11. Think that was 2014 onwards maybe.

Saw that at 145k yesterday, assumed it was a mistake, a dodgy dealer or there was something wrong with the car lol.
They’re not selling at franchise dealers at 160, so it’s where it’s need to be. I went to see the one at Bristol Maserati. They need carbon and spec or they feel ‘cheap’.

That one has been for sale for a long time.

Cheapest MC20 to open market thus far. Was advertised by Joe Hallam Land Rover yesterday at £145k, now £159k at a dealer nearby:

Cheapest 2023 Granturismo too:

That granturismo spec is very nice.

Not sure where Maserati are going with this but to spec the car as above which is how it needs to be with no ride height adjuster, no pano roof, no alcantara headlining it came to £210,550 plus on the road costs. If they had any market sense they would have copied Porsche and kept the new car 10-20% more than the outgoing but 23k for a paint job is ridiculous. We should have a whip round for the poor buyers of new ones to help pay for their counselling when they are told how much they will be offered in 12 months time with 7-8k on the clock

Hypothetically speaking, I'd be waiting for the new Granturismo unless it's only electic, and again only after it had depreciated to an affordable level. You need very deep pockets to buy anything. New granturismo looks lovely. Being a more mature member I prefer this as a gt model with 4 seats and much better performance than current models. I'm a little concerned with the performance of the MC20 as I'm already a bit crazy and don't really want to die

Yesterday I enjoyed an extensive test drive in the Granturismo Trofeo. It was in black, one of only two colours you get for free. Black interior etc.
Pretty car but the interior although well put together with nice touches is unfortunately like so many other mass produced quality cars. It didn't feel special or unique.
The engine and exhaust has an odd sound more like an after market setup and feels lumpy on tick over. Pulling away the 550 bhp is there somewhere but not once did it feel blistering although it did hold the road extremely well with the four wheel drive glueing it down. Under load the engine sounds a bit harsh and at no point spine tingling which is not surprising as the red line is only 6500. This thing is crying out for the V8t now residing in the Ghibli, albeit in that 8 years too late. The now gone 4.7 GT has a glorious soundtrack which to many was the attraction, such a shame Maserati has lost sight of that selling point.
The spec was basic with few options and still came out at 170k after the dealer offered a few juicy options FOC to encourage me but alas i came away underwhelmed which sadden me as i wanted to be a GT owner and one day will maybe when Maserati sees sense.
Insight into sales of MC20 and GTs are that the only coastal dealer between Exeter and Portsmouth confirmed initial interest was reasonable but sales are not happening and deals maybe offered later in the year. In my opinion the V6 Trofeo is a 135k car and possibly 165k with the V8t and a F...O.. exhaust, But that ain't going to happen any time soon if ever.
After explaining I drive down to Sicily twice a year he suggested the Folgore electric version might be considered, I told him 4 days each way was not on the cards :frusty6:

Personally I think the MC20 was too overpriced by 40k to start with and i wouldn't be surprised to see the bottom at around 120k by Xmas but still not for me as the competition ie 458, 488, 610, 911, A10 have all bottomed out and represent a far better investment and in some cases better all round. The GT on the other hand is definitely on my shopping list and at 120k -130k by this time next year they would be hard to resist especially in dark Grey with brown leather.

They are all overpriced these days. The buyers have changed to the Instagram generation who buy on payments, based on YouTube view revenues. This is good for the rest of us as they are all depreciating to sensible levels quickly. The MC20 is technically special compared to many others such as the Huracan, 911 etc as it is a ground up build with a bespoke carbon tub, trick suspension, brand new engine architecture and so on and not a lesson in component and platform sharing. But....and it's big one....the brand is not strong enough to justify the premium for that that it should. If you were talking about a ground up new Ferrari or Lambo, the weight of reputation would likely carry that premium. Maserati has been doing what they do best for years and not building that branding well enough so the new buyer market isn't confident enough to choose it over the others.

I have driven the MC20 for a long weekend and I loved it. Amazing thing. And I am the biggest brand fan, like many of us here, and still I think it's a risky purchase. So if they can't even convince me, they are really missing the mark. Right now I am preparing for my next high end car, and the MC20 is in the shortlist, however the wavering values, narrow secondary market and poor packaging (there is almost no luggage space which is an issue for Euro trips) are all conspiring to make me look elsewhere. Also it sounds a bit lame and although Novitec can fix that, the warranty is at risk and I'd need to dump another £5-7k in exhaust parts to solve a problem that shouldn't really exist.

This should ring alarm bells for them. I would sell a kidney to own one if it didn't raise the concerns above. So if I can't even make enough excuses to own one, what chance to the general public, non-Maseratisti.

I love that they have it, I love that they are building a halo car, but it's just not quite noisy or useable enough.

Just for interest whilst i was in Henly Maserati at Poole on Saturday a yellow fully loaded MC20 spider just registered late last year with very few miles was offered to a cash buyer for 170k and he only agreed the price if they PPF the whole car which they readily agreed to.

Saw that car in the window when I drove past a couple of weeks ago. Beautiful!

The market is no longer in favour of big GT cars so I think Maserati will struggle with the new GranTurismo.

Thought I'd post on here for any MC20 owners to share views on their ownership "experience". Yes, the uniquely Italian ownership experience that you're assured of when buying a Maserati.

Issue 1:
Shortly after delivery a speaker blew as we were driving along the M3 and filled the cabin with screaming white noise. The car was taken in and after a week or so diagnosed as being a single speaker issue. Some 5 weeks passed until the factory managed to provide a replacement. Ok, an unusual issue, but let's not worry too much, despite the delay (and to be fair a free luggage set - by the way, not worth half of the price they charge, just in case anyone's tempted!).

Issue 2:
Had a recall notification from the dealer, to do with the doors. Of course.. but it's a new model - albeit the MC20 has been out a while - so these things can happen. A visual check whilst it was in, however, and a screw was found in the tyre. Bugger, again these things happen - nobody at fault, it's life. But now we're 4 weeks in waiting for a tyre because 4 weeks ago it was discovered - during a minor recall - that I had a whopping great screw embedded in a tyre. And here we are 4 weeks later with it still at the dealer because they can't get a tyre - "we've developed tyres especially for this car with Bridgestone, and in doing so we can guarantee that you'll never be able to get a replacement - so enjoy the 4 you have with the car". Of course the dealer is pulling their hair out and Maserati UK seem to be slowly waking up to it...but no news of course.

Issue 3:
And then the biggie. It had a crappy PPF application organised by the dealer, complete with a nick in it on delivery and a couple of months later some bubbling appearing. Ok, so if it hadn't bubbled and if it wasn't for the nick in it, I'd have left it - it was 'ok', most people wouldn't notice. But... some 5 months go by and no action beyond assurances that the PPF would be fixed. So, I checked it in at Topaz (they took it whilst waiting for the tyre - they've done cars for me before and I've never had a single grumble or cause for complaint). They removed the PPF and in so doing on one door the paint lifted in a small area (size of a 10p coin) due to what they described as a very gluey glue used and not something they'd seen before on PPF. And then they detected blistering along the same door - but nowhere else. A reasonable deduction is that the paint was badly applied on the one door as the rest of the car is fine - or the PPF was badly applied.

But as I sit here, I've not heard anything back from Maserati - 2 weeks in on the paint / 4 weeks on the tyre - and a couple of dealers trying to get some attention on it. Overall I've had the car 34 weeks, approximately 10 of which it's been off the road and frankly by the time it does get fixed...well who knows - 2 or 3 weeks, or 2 or 3 months - either is possible. Of course, I might just get the paint job done and suck up the £6-8k or whatever. But, what's the point when I can't drive it away?

So, does anyone want to buy my Cielo? It has a 98% great finish - a bit of tippex might cover the door. You won't be able to use it of course as there are only 3 tyres that are roadworthy, but let's not worry about that - it'll be nice to look at, so long as you're able to trailer it home.

I had the coupe for 18 months and now have a Cielo. Zero issues apart from phone charging using the wireless charger. Build quality very good. I also have a Grecale and I haven't been so lucky. Issues with touch screen, alarm and tyre pressure sensors.
I agree on the GT, its a big car and feels out of its time. Price is high and I think, based on what we are seeing on the Taycan, moving to electric won't help much.
