Yes, it's probably the same car that many of you have seen already as there are two of them in the UK doing the rounds of the dealers and a few select shows. It's stunning in the flesh with an excellent finish. It sounds good too although a little quiet with the 2 turbos putting pay to a decent rumble, although I am told it sounds much better under load.
These are pre production protoypes so cannot be driven on the road.
I was told today that there are 7 customer cars from this MD being delivered to UK customers in around 6 weeks from now and are a selection of blue, white, yellow & black. There will be a demonstrator available to drive in October, after these initial customer cars have been delivered, curiously!
There will be a full electric next year (heavier curbside weight), no hybrid, and they also plan to enter the petrol version in Le Mans 2022.
The same Nettuno engine (but probably slightly de-tuned) will also be available in the new Granturismo alongside full electric, again no hybrid, and the new GT should have a price point of circa £120k with a launch set for next year. The Levante and Ghibli will continue with full electric being available next year plus the Grecale to follow but no sign of the QP for now

Is anyone on the forum getting one?

There is one that I know of but I haven't seen him on here for some time. I'm sure that he will be back once he has his new pride & joy ready to show to us all

£120k seens about right as the price of the GranTurismo was pretty much unchanged through the whole 11 year run. Looking forward to seeing it but ICE for me.

Sensible path, nobody wants the hybrid and the GT (told you so) with the Nuttuno is a good move.

£120k starting price, it needs to be top draw.

Personally the GT should be £100k and the MC20 £150k...they are scaring off customers with their historic depreciation

That is a thing of beauty. Great to see a stunning car again from Maserati.

I was with you on the MC20 price Matt. 150k instead of 187k would seem right…..But then after reading lots of reviews and them saying it is a Ferrari F8 rival and that it is right up there with that car and the competition then against the F8 at 207k it seems the bargain of the bunch. I think that Maserati has been held on a leash most of its time when it was with Ferrari and this is the car that they are sticking two figures up at the prancing house and saying look what we can do. I mean a 0 to 60 time from a V6 of 2.9 seconds is incredible. Fingers crossed though that a Maserati built engine with F1 tech is reliable unlike the last Maserati built engines back in the day. I love this car and would have one no question. Plus it looks so much better than the over styled trinket that is the F8…..Maserati are back.

It's stunning. The Lotus looks good and I like it very much, but next to the MC20 every penny of the price difference becomes very clear,

Still don't like that stick-on screen in the MC20, though. I'm sure the dash blah blah could have been much better. Maybe it's better in the flesh.

I would say that the interior possibly lets it down a little. The second screen does look somewhat an after thought and the finish on the carbon gives it a bit of a plastic feel, they have tried to move away from the polished finish from the GT generation of cars and indeed the current Ghibli/QP/Levante range.
The action of the door is excellent with a very nice clunk and a race inspired soft handle to pull the door closed from the inside. The panel fit was great, especially for a composite body.
Maybe once we get a chance to drive one, any misgivings may be forgotten - let's see

I was due to go see this at JCT tomorrow but I've just had a call to say that 'a young salesman' was putting it on the truck at HR Owen and dinged a wheel and bashed the wing! It's gone back to Maserati UK but I doubt that new wings and wheels are readily available. Might need to bring a whole new car over. It's disappointing since I was looking forward to it but at least I'm having a better day than the bloke who dented it.

Did putting it on the truck involve a quick high speed run around the block?

I've just had the same conversation with JCT. Oh well, I'll have to find another excuse to go for a drive on Wednesday.

I wonder whether the "young salesman" got his coat afterwards and exited stage left?

There are two doing the rounds in the UK so hopefully the other one will find it's way to your neck of the woods

Pity there’s not a dealership within 100 miles of me. Or even further if I lived yet more West.

Speaking of forum member purchase, wasn't there a wager of sorts for who would be first?
