MC Victory Carbon Fiber Paddle Shifters for 4200CC / GS / QP

Last summer I initiated a project with Valence USA (http://www.valenceusa.com) to make high quality carbon fiber paddles that match/improve on the oversized OEM carbon fiber paddles found on the limited edition MC Victory Gransport that will retrofit on any CambioCorsa 4200 or GS. They went a step further and also made a mold for the QP.

The project turned into a successful group buy on MaseratiLife.com with well over 15 units sold, including a couple in Europe.

So, I thought I would share this great product with my fellow forum members, as it is really worth every penny. The carbon weave matches the rest of my Gransport's interior. See attached pics.

If interested, contact Chris or Brian Coffing in the US at +1-434-977-7951 or sales@valenceusa.com

The OEM units retail for over $2k. I believe Valence sells them today for about $565 (includes shipping to US, assume a little more for UK), but I would call/email to confirm.

To be clear, I am not affiliated with Valence but wanted to share with the boys on here.

I hear you gents. Although I will say (see attached), they are quite substantial pieces and exceptionally well made.

When we did the group buy, the price was set at $400. Perhaps we can organize a SportsMaserati.com group buy if there is enough interest.

At least the forum is now aware of this option, which is certainly cheaper than OEM. I also spoke with MA Carbon (http://www.macarbon.com), but they were even more expensive and were not willing to do a custom project. So, hats off to the boys at Valence for making it happen and making an amazing product at what seemed to be a competitive rate at the time.

Lastly, the moldings took several months of development and tweaking to be perfected (Valence needed to source used steering columns to ensure perfect fitment), so at least nobody will have to wait months for their set like we did last year!

Here is the thread from the US forum...notice the initial frustrations, but the raving feedback made it a well worth exercise in the end... http://www.maseratilife.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7213&highlight=paddles

I look forward to other members coming up with their own projects, which we can all benefit from.

At $400 i would be interested but over $600 is too rich for me!

How many takers would we need to get back down to this price?

Noor, I recognize your username from the ML group buy thread. Too bad you didn't pull the trigger then.

I can ping the guys at Valence and see if they would be willing to do another group buy.

By anychance JP do they do the rear boot lip spoiler in Carbon Fibre or could you enquire that would be brill and i think we could easily organise a group buy but obviously its down to pricing , since the last group buy on these on ML there has been a recession and probably a little worse here than in the US perhaps worth mentioning they could well be struggling themselves

Group Buy !

Hello everyone, we are going to offer the members of this forum a "group buy" for carbon fiber shift paddles, made to fit the 4200 Coupe / Spider / GranSport, Quattroporte, and GranTurismo.

The "group buy" is a special limited-time deal with special discounted pricing. The price is $450 USD per pair, plus shipping, for either of the styles listed. To qualify for the group buy, you must commit during the months of March - April 2010. We will take orders on a first-come, first-served basis, with a $100 (refundable) deposit required to hold your place. (The group buy price is slightly higher than our 1st group buy initiated last year, because those customers had to wait through our R&D, tooling, prototyping, and test-fitting phases. Now, they are in production, ready to build and ship to order.)

We do ship worldwide. Shipping charges will be approximately $35 to most overseas destinations for US Postal Service Priority Mail Insured, or $45 for Express Mail Insured. Customers are free to use other services / couriers at their expense.

We are offering a choice of 2 styles for each car. "UP" and "Down" text is optional (no charge). See the attached pictures for the two styles: "Corsa" and "MC Victory"

We will immediately begin fabricating and shipping paddles in the order that deposits were received. We will ask for the balance of the payment to be made when the paddles are ready to ship.

The easiest way to send a deposit is through Paypal, but we do take Visa, Amex, and MC directly, and a check always works, too. Our e-mail address for Paypal (and regular correspondence) is:

sales at valenceusa.com

I spelled it out to (hopefully) avoid having our e-mail address picked up by spam trolls. Just log into www.paypal.com and select the "Send Money" option. Enter our e-mail address as the recipient (with the proper @ symbol instead of "at"), and please specify which Maserati you have, and the style you want (if you have decided). Don't forget to tell us your name and e-mail address if it happens to differ from your Paypal ID (if you're using your wife's account, for instance).

If paypal isn't for you, just call or e-mail us directly and we'll work out an alternate deposit method. If we miss each other on the phone, don't worry, we'll use your initial call time to assign you your place on the list.

If you haven't decided which paddle style you want, that's OK, too - you can reserve your spot and specify which you want later when your order comes up.

To summarize: 2 options for each car, $450 only during the next 6 weeks, orders taken on a first come-first served basis, with a $100 refundable deposit. Thanks and we look forward to doing business with you all.

mmmm sexy... now how can I justify this one???

Simon, that's an easy one...you touch them every time you drive!...and they feel so good to the touch that it's wrong! ;)

They really are something else...aside from the MCV's sexy (yet uncomfortable) seats, this is what USED to make me envious when I'd see an MCV...not any more :)

Easy one that SI , just rub the tips of your pinkies till their sore , and complain to the missus that your paddles are wearing out , and now they are being superceeded by some super smooth ones which come with a huge free box of chocs or a free sauna simples

Here's a Grigio Nuvolari GS with the carbon fibre boot lip spoiler. Thoughts?

Never really been a fan of Carbon fibre, and after seeing that Aston at the Geneva show which was done in a bigger weave re confirmed my thoughts , but to have the rear boot spoiler in a matching GS weave with Griglio Touring really sets it off , as you know im not a great fan or should i say im a little tired of Grigio Touring with good reason but in my opinion the best combination , so if we can get a reasonable price on the bootlip im definately in for one and possibly for two
