Zep its a beauty. I've seen the uk yellow mc stradale on youtube, its a rare sight in this colour. Europe has some nice colours especially the blue Mc Stradale Centennial edition one I posted under the difference between mc stradale and Centennial Stradale. I've noticed alot of the uk cars are either black or white.

I've seen it and had it on my drive while I washed and waxed it . IT is a stunning colour Dec ca

The big air intake at the front of the bonnet came in with the 4 seat version, so about 2013. The 2 seat cars (otherwise known as proper Strads) have the two air intakes at the back of the bonnet (nearer the windscreen), but not the front one.

I love the big intake in the 4 seater one. Makes it look more aggressive and sporty IMO. Strange how it isn’t on the 2 seater/ stripped out version. I have never quite understood why they would make all the effort to strip it out (and make it look awesome and a real occasion) but not make it faster. Harnesses for a large car which isn’t as fast to 60 as some of the practical German got hatched seems a little ott to me. It’s got to be one of the best looking/ sounding cars on the road though. Not sure I would agree with the term ‘proper strad’ when the performance is very similar and the 4 seater actually looks better externally.

Got to be a 4 seater for me and in special Lava grey of course!
I love the quirkiness of the 2 seater with a roll bar but it’s a big heavy car so the practicalities of the 4 seats win. My wife still doesn’t understand why I’m always so ‘selfless’ and volunteer to go out and pick up the kids (3) so often which I couldn’t do in 2 seater.

At the end of the day, 2 seats or 4 seats, it doesn’t matter. It’s a Stradale either way, we are **** lucky to have them and 2 years into ownership, I really can’t think of anything I would replace her with!

I agree, both are great cars. And if you need to fit 4 people, of course you have to have the later, heavier version. Fortunately I’ve other cars for the family carrying job.

I’m not convinced by the Supra bonnet scoop on the 4 seater though. To me, the earlier bonnet is the better and more pure design.

The carbon bucket seats from the Enzo are the other big plus with the earlier car, and I don’t see why they didn’t keep those for the 4 seater.

Are the weights of the 2 & 4 seat Strads the same?

The tech doc I have for the 2 seat lists the dry weight as 1670kg, kerb weight as 1770kg and the weight with driver as 1845kg - so drivers over 12 stone need not apply. The spec I have seen for the 4 seat is 1700 dry and 1800 kerb - these are nice round numbers don't you think? Anyway by my reckoning that makes the 4 seat just under 2% heavier. A bit more on both if you have lots of carbon of course! ;)

1.66% heavier or half a tank of fuel. I do agree the 2 seater is rarer, the special seats, possible roll cage etc. The 4 is far more practical, and the USP of the GT is 4 adult seats which means the 2 seat is rendered pointless from a real world point of view for the vast majority of buyers. The low numbers is because of this; chicken and egg.

I’d have a 4, as I wouldn’t ever use a 2. If you have a 2, it obviously works for you, but surely a 4 seater would too.
