I have spoken to Zep on this matter and I am going up to his in the Sprig to play ‘swap the X pipe. No doubt another video will be uploaded.

Sound utterly mental. I found my Strad with "just" the x-pipe was perfect for me but I do appreciate the craziness of the cats as well !! Good luck getting that x-pipe off Zep's car though, it took a hefty persuasion device to install it!

I'm not sure of the usual approach, but Bamford Rose used ratchet straps to ease my cat-less secondary pipes into position. Any future removal must surely be a job for a patient man with a two-post lift - it doesn't feel very DIY to me!

It might be a struggle to change it over, but I think it is a public service to try. Then we will know for sure. I suspect it is going to be unbelievably loud, but might not be as melodious. I do like the X pipe on its own to be honest, so it will need to be epic!

This is I music to my ears.
I can happily drive behind that Strad for eternity.

I suspect x-pipe will take away the low rpm burble but add a lot of excitement to the top 10% rev range.

Looking forward to next upload.

We will see. The Larini X is not silenced, the H has small silencers. The X makes a fantastic noise with everything standard and is louder than the H on its own.

There is a school of thought that the X with the sport cats will be a bit too Benny. There is only one way to find out :alan4:

At the start of the second vid there's a road sign saying, Funtington 3 miles.
But, I think you'd already arrived!
As I watched the first video, with a Cheshire cat grin. A niggle grew, somewhere in the Swiss cheese that passes for my memory. That I'd heard something similar, a long, long time ago. By the end of the vid, the memory surfaced.
Vanishing Point! ;)

Well that’s blown it matt. You can’t go to a Cali T now. You middle ear ossicles won’t be able to hear the exhaust at all! That however sounds EPIC

This is epic. With skilful use of my new Man-Reasoning Machine (TM), plus some help from Iain, I can easily see how Matt can explain to Mrs Matt that the Strad updates were made on medical advice.
