When I called the owner a few months ago he didn't even know it had the "wrong" bonnet. And at the JCT 600 service, they said it needed new ceramic brakes. But at ££££, obviously this work wasn't done. These two things alone put me off, so I didn't go and see it. But who knows, it might actually be a nice. As ever, it'll need a professional inspection.

This was for sale last year. Nobody knows why it has a 4 seat bonnet.

Love the accidental (presumably) addition of the pic of the RS6 he appears to have replaced it with! Just goes to show how hard it is to sell these privately I guess.

I am glad I have seen this thread as I was considering calling the guy. Mad that a set of ceramics can be knackered at 16k? Pads must have been too thin.

I really don't see the need for carbon ceramics on the road. Seems like more hassle and expense than they are worth.

How much is a new set of carbon ceramic discs and pads for a Strad?

A set of front and rear pads and discs for a Strad on Eurospares site is 8200. Bargain

Ok, if this owner does not even know the car has the wrong scoop, definitely not an enthusiast.

Buying a Stradale (or GT in general) privately has to be buying from an enthusiast.

I wonder why the owner does not just give the car to dealer to sell? He may as well be honest about the condition of the brakes in the description.

If it needs a new set at 16k - one or more of the previous owners probably lived next to a track.

Feel sorry for the current owner, he probably did not even know the car needed to have its brakes replaced and are carbon ceramic ££££
