It looks like the Dick Lovett one with just 3k miles has sold too. Surprised the market for these is still moving given time of year, cost of living crisis, increased finance rates, etc.

@MikeyMaser indeed.
It could also be a sign of people investing in what they see as assets that depreciate little, as they foresee bad times coming and want to park their money somewhere they perceive to be as safe. (a bit like what we've seen during Covid times).

Your guess is as good as mine . The one thing I learned over the last couple of years, is that the statement 'the market is rational' is potentially one of the most incorrect statements I've ever had to learn...

I read on another thread that someone has already been to see this car and although the sellers are nice genuine people, the car itself is a bit ropey. (See the driver's side seat bolster).
I viewed this one when it was for sale at VVS and the biggest concern for me was the brake discs. I sent videos/pictures to a reputable Maser garage who confirmed my concern.

Looking at mileage it looks like it’s had an owner since being up with VVS.

The brakes have been done to the tune of £5,000 and a £3,000 Aircon pump too according to the advert.

An overhaul of the brakes had been carried out at the time I was looking, I asked for the detail and it was pads and calliper work on the fronts. Nothing disc related. If anyone is interested then message me as I have redacted copies of the service history which includes listing this work. I also have pictures/videos of the discs.

Given the relatively low mileage compared to how the discs visually looked, I concluded the discs were probably original and given it was a press car it was obviously given a good run out.

Not trying to be negative on the car, it’s a very cool example being a 2 seater with the harness and cage. And at < £50k potentially with a bit of negotiation I think that’s a reasonable buy subject to a good inspection, just want to flag the discs will need factoring into the maths.
