An overhaul of the brakes had been carried out at the time I was looking, I asked for the detail and it was pads and calliper work on the fronts. Nothing disc related. If anyone is interested then message me as I have redacted copies of the service history which includes listing this work. I also have pictures/videos of the discs.

Given the relatively low mileage compared to how the discs visually looked, I concluded the discs were probably original and given it was a press car it was obviously given a good run out.

Not trying to be negative on the car, it’s a very cool example being a 2 seater with the harness and cage. And at < £50k potentially with a bit of negotiation I think that’s a reasonable buy subject to a good inspection, just want to flag the discs will need factoring into the maths.

I understand that that one thing to be careful of with a Strad is sticking callipers, and I know that is something Sportsitalia check as part of a service, sticking calliper can of course lead to excessive pad and disc wear so that may explain the works.
Read on here that the only real way to check the wear of the discs themselves is to remove and weigh them.
