Could be a damaged car but not recorded and someone had the 4 seater bonnet? Will they put the bonnet as extra options on the spec list?If there's no evidence regarding the bonnet from the new then....

Nope the bonnet was definitely not an option on the two seater as wasn't available until the 4 seater came out. A German tuning company did produce one thought...Novatec I believe.

Just had a look at current MC Strad market, so here are some stats:

Ignoring the Cat D car at £52K, there are 10 MC Strads for sale on PH and AT. Asking prices go from £55K to £70k, with mileages from 50k at the highest to 14K at the lowest. There are 3 colour choices - white, grey or black. As for locations - 1 in N.Ireland, 1 in Dorset, 1 in Hampshire, 1 in Essex, and all the other 6 are in Yorkshire. 3 have 2 seats, 7 have 4.

The upshot of this is that, as a guide to price, mid/high fifties buys a 2 seat, while low/mid sixties buys a newer 4 seat. So the price spread is narrow, given the 4 year difference in age.

The "average" car has done 25k miles and is £62k.

But still, unfortunately, there are none for sale in blue (or red, yellow, etc.)

Why not buy one based on mileage and spec/price wise and do a wrap?Would cost around 2-3k but you can do it any colour and you also protect the paint! So no worries when you take it to famous hand wash car:)

New buyers weren't very exciting when picking a colour....Far to many grey, black and one.....

Only seen others in yellow....one two seater and one 4 seater, med blue X 2, MC victory blue X 1 and a silver one in Europe. Then there are the three special centenary colours but most are black, dark grey and white.... Would have loved one in Rosso.

Saw that yesterday....Not seen a black one with the decals....Aquired taste but I like them...... Thinking maybe it's the wrong side of 50k for a cat car maybe....Not sure as its a weird market for these. The blue one that was for sale looked over priced yet sold quickly and there are a few that have been for sale for ages that seem a better price.

I've been tracking the stradale market and similar cars keep cropping up or stick around for a while. 2 seaters seem to be around the 55-60k mark at the moment but trade values are anything from £32-42k (the higher being lancaster maserati). Quite a big delta there...especially for the ones on a private sale where there isn't a requirement to warranty them etc which dealers factor in as margin.
