My thoughts exactly, but didn't ask as didn't want to appear to be ignorant! (not that you are)What is 630CV? Is that johnny foreigner for horse power or some made up power measure?

90 degree V6 so maybe they've got an eight in development.Hurrah, they made an effort instead of a cover all plastic lid. My faith in Maserati restored. Seems to be missing 2 cylinders though!
Great video! Really nice to see the presenters passion for his work, gives hope! I hope the shareholders don't see it, they'll be out with the shears.
Enjoy

Its possible that its an evolution of the Alfa engine thats in the Giulia.90 degree V6 so maybe they've got an eight in development.
Aesthetically looks great! nice carbon bits
It will make it into the next GT with approx 530 BHP. It’s a version of the Alfa QF engine. The dealers had feared the hybrid GT would be first but apparently not, petrol first which is a good thing. We have an engine and not a Massive battery, for now I’m happy with that lol
With any luck it’s a engine line that makes it into the next GT, whenever and wherever that’s coming from!
The eight already exists in the Levante and formerly the QP GTS. We will have a Ghibli GTS with the same engine later this year. I am quite excited about the prospect of an eight cylinder 530+ BHP rear wheel drive Ghibli....Its possible that its an evolution of the Alfa engine thats in the Giulia.
either way, the MC20 is a car that Maserati needs, its kind of a sporting brand with no real sports cars and a car like this can maybe stop them from being a punching bag for auto journos.
I am not sure how much is new and how much is taken from the existing engine ranges (would make sense to use what works well...), but otherwise I totally agree .So from what I read it’s a 100% Modena designed and made V6 based on the QV/Fez lump (stay with me) so basically new heads.
The only confusing bit if that is the case is it’s dropped from 3.8 to 3.0 which screams an S variant back up to 3.x at a later date.
It’s all good news so we should embrace it...it’s what we have all been harping on about for years.
Or the engine will remain at 3.0 both the addition of electrification of the front axel giving torque vectoring and basically a 4WD.
By my maths that’s found to add up to circa 750hp.
It sounds great.
