Handsome ! Welcome indeed and hope to see you around. These cars do take some time to sell, so you have an opportunity to get involved. Plenty of good experience shared here.(Dwarfed of course by the mountain of useless internet wisdom in all forums). GLWTS
Did you want a forensic examination / critique of your car? Lovely colour combo :D

Welcome to the forum James. If you post some details on the car, location, price, history etc, it will help you along.

It is a nice colour!
Hi Zep, I'm not really sure how the forum works but I've been looking at it for info for a long while now, how do I add details about the car in a way that will be seen by everyone?

Yeah we're having a very tough time selling it at the moment and interest is usually quite slow

Adding the details is easy:
Just add another post on this thread and paste in all the information you can think of. Like this good example (minus the later edits): https://www.sportsmaserati.com/index.php?threads/sold-my-04-mas-for-sale-£8000-new-mot.28400/

Getting it seen by everyone is also easy:
Just post a single photo without any details, and loads of people will add to the thread with 'where are the details?' comments, which will make the thread 'hot' and bump it up the listings. :D

McGraths usually give the owner a report when a car is in their workshop which would have given details of issues they found, if you have this it would give an indication to others of the condition of your QP and might help with the sale.

Such a hard car to sell James which is a shame as they are wonderful machines. We have had great examples sit on here unsold for well over a year. Nothing wrong with the car just a very small market. I have looked at your advert a few times and it always looks great in the pictures and a lovely colour compared to all the blacks and greys. Great price as well by the way. So much car for the money.

83944So for anyone looking for more details on the car it is in a stunning spec of Blu Sebring with contrasting Cuoio Leather.
Full ebay description below:

Most recent work carried out by McGrath Maserati -New rear brake pads, Auxillary belt and Pollen filter (28/11/20). All 4 wheels refurbished and front Pirelli tyres fitted by the Wheel Specialist (8/11/20). Electric reclining heated rear seats, Bose speaker system. 3 previous owners, MOT due 4/8/21
The Quattroporte range was updated with the sport Gt model in 2006, This brought many improvements over the standard model including an upgraded exhaust sound. Most importantly they made improvements to the Duoselect gearbox making changes much smoother and quicker when in the sport and manual modes. In addition to this it came with upgraded Brembo brake callipers and lowered, stiffened suspension making it more sporting to drive.
Any offers welcome !

Not if it’s a 2006 car. Seem to recall the factory fix came in about 2009.
This is a Duo Select, which has the dry sump engine, so isn't affected by the variator issue that plagued the wet-sump cars with the ZF gearbox up to a particular engine # in 2009.
