I would expect it would be an upgrade over 4.2 mufflers. Not sure about a standard 4.7, need a QTP expert for that :)

Just get Jason's box modification if you want noise and not bothered about oval tips. I get full open valve sound with pops but can still go under the radar with a gentle right foot.. all for a lost less £ plus no need to run vacuum pipes, solenoid and switches.

I've driven a couple of QP Sport-GTS cars and can attest that the sound is awesome! I've only seen a few videos of modified mufflers, and while they are louder than stock, I'm not sure about the sound / tone...sometimes they sound kind of "tinny" and "not Italian" if that makes sense. Are there any videos of Jason's modified mufflers?

Here is my QP with modded boxes and a Mario x-pipe.

I think valved and modified have some difference :) for anyone looking to upgrade to valved boxes on their QTP this is the best/cheapest on offer.

It's too bad that the new QP and Ghibli valved mufflers will not work on earlier QPs. The QPV the exhaust enters the muffler housing down low, and exits the muffler housing up high - whereas the newer mufflers enter and exit the housing low.
