Maserati quattroporte 2009, 4.2 advice needed.
Gents, am looking to buy one quite soon, but a bit worried about possible issues that one might encounter with maintenance. Any major pitfalls one should be looking out for?

The hot potato at the moment is front subframes. If treated, they are fine, if not you could have a potential issue on your hands.

Very good service history a must and get an independent specialist inspection. It will be the best £300 you spend.

Also members on here are very helpful and knowledgable so depending upon where it is, one will always come and give their opinion.

Now guys, don't be putting the fear of **** into him haha.

To cut to the chase, give Richard Grace a call, he will guide you in the right direction and may be able to source a sound example for you.

I’ve been thinking about doing something similar in regards longer term write up. I’m now 3yrs into a 2008 QP and although I’m still in love it, my wife has actually cried at one of the bills (though she secretly loves it too).

Check out my advert on Autotrader. 2009 QP 4.7S. (50k miles), Black with beige leather interior and piano black trim. Had all the major issues like cam shells, cam tensioners, front suspension bushes, battery all replaced. Currently at 'Shiltech' (Loughborough) ready for viewing. Has an MoT and recently fully serviced. Clean bill of health.

Oh yes and the subframe has been coated with 'Dynatrol' ( soft wax) so should be in good shape for a 10 year old dream machine.
