I'd lay off the feet jokes.... that can kill conversation ;)

Have you gone out for a drive through a town centre like a boy racer yet?

Haha, prefer to stick to the countryside, too much attention in town, not all are enthusiastic about the V8 thunder!

Congrats on the purchase Rabby and welcome to the madness!
Cheers c4sman, it's been quite a ride, in every sense, so far. Mine is a MC Auto Shift, spent first day in auto, then auto sport, next manual, yesterday manual sport and today the experience became metaphysical with manual sport MC Shift. I may sleep in it tonight! :D

Just FYI, if you have the R and 1 buttons (which I think you said you did) on the centre console, you have a MC Shift. The autos of all types have a stick in the middle.

Welcome to the baffling world of Maserati model and gearbox names :p

Confusing, I have the transmission buttons, no gear stick, but can drive it as an auto or deselect auto and use the paddles, with MC Shift mode appearing when I start thrashing it. Does that make it a MC Shift?

My spec seems to tally with the THE AUTOMATED MANUAL TRANSAXLE in this article:

Yup. It’s a MC Shift automated manual that has a full auto mode. Most use it in manual mode on the paddles all the time (and in sport mode for faster cleaner shifts and a loud exhaust)

Yes, it is confusing! @c4sman has you right.

When I lived in Weston super Mare and having had 3 F1 boxes I used to love an early morning run up the Cheddar Gorge and then a sprint around the Chew Valley lake to wake up my soul and others :)

To be fair my drive to work when living on the West coast of New Zealand in Wanganui was pretty good and no traffic either.
