15-20 grand estimate? Can't be a Cup surely?

No badges on the doors for starters!

@Ewan's the expert on these. Is it a real one?

I believe it is a genuine example but of course , not original and the price will no doubt reflect that. The VIN tallies with the one shown on Enrico's RHD Cup register.
Be interesting to see what it sells for assuming it meets reserve

It was a real Cup, but it's hardly standard anymore, having had various bodywork alterations and a different engine. Maybe it could be made into a good track-day Ghibli special, but reverting it to proper Cup spec would be very expensive and possibly even impossible (through lack of original parts). This is the highest mileage UK CUP and the most played about with and non-original. Hence the low price. And given the mileage and the history, whatever you did to it, it would still be the least desirable.

I see it failed its recent MOT, so will need to be collected from the auction on a trailer. I can see why its being sold by action. (Well, I say "sold" - no one wanted it last time out...)

Buyer beware, I'd say.

If someone is seriously interested I would be open to sell my unique white Open Cup with 1996 evo specs - never raced, only 55km, real time capsule. Please PM me!

Amazing but I think Brexit may have killed the dream of one of these working maths wise in the U.K.
The actual championship-winning car is also up for sale at the moment. Registered in Spain, for sale via Italy.
Shouldn’t be too long to wait until it turns 30 though, which should reduce the tax bill by many per cent.
