Oh dear!!!

Shame people don't go into detail with history and why their lights are yellow -)

And the seller has put it in the 'everything else' category, not under cars!?... I'd doubt it will get any bids, could be a bargain for someone.

Curious to know what's up with those lights though

Normally, the yellow lights would make me suspect a resprayed car but no one would spec a grey interior with yellow. Would they? And, if it is such a seldom used and potentially unmarked car, why would they go to the trouble of ruining it by swapping the lights? Also, why such a low start? IMO, dodgy at best.

Crashed car...been at the breakers for years, hence the low miles, fixed on a shoe string and by a blind man...just my guess

Haha, this does remind of a chap I sold a celiac gt4 to on eBay a few years back, I checked out his history before he turned up. He'd been buying thousands of slimming pills, fetish underwear and used underwear to feed some weird fetish he had.

back on topic... i have just spoken to the seller of this car. He has told me the following.

It has been his grandads car for the past 7-8 years. They bought it when it was 2 years old and a CAT D write off - front end damage. They had it professionally repaired, but could only get yellow headlights secondhand at the time.

The mileage is genuine and they have various receipts for services over the years. All things considered, it seems genuine, but it would be recommended to get this inspected prior to purchase. If it has had a proper repair, it could be a good car. Then again, having covered so few miles in the last 8 years, i just get a feeling it is one of those cars that will be problematic. A car that has been consistently used over the years seems a 'safer bet'.

The seller also told me the clutch has never been changed. One thing he did say which i didn't quite understand is that sometime previously the car failed to start and it was diagnosed as the clutch wear sensor. they disconnected it and the car has run fine ever since.

Does'nt sound ideal, but for a spanner monkey willing to tart it up and maintain it, it could be a good buy. it's just not for me though.

It all depends on how the car was cherished , my previous 4200 did 13K miles in my ownership of 6 years (8k in the first 18 months ) and then a dribble each year , changing the colour of these lights is my forte , done it a few times , and yes they were an arm an a leg 6 or 7 years ago (around £800 to £1000 each then , that interior is exactly the same as my 4200 aswell , very pleasant colour and tones in extremely well ,

In my view well worth the look , if your not to up on whether its had a good or average repair , you could always get an inspection , or for a small remuneration ( petrol costs ) i'd inspect it for you

i do like the colour combo and i cant imagine rectifyng the lights would be too difficult.
