Maserati and business use

How many folks on here use their Maserati's on business?

I use mine any opportunity I can, but being a limited company it would cost me a fortune to run the car through the business so I am back to the old 45 pence per mile for the first 10k and 25p thereafter. That won't even come close to covering my running costs so what does everyone else do? I've spoken at length with my accountant and he says I'm stuffed either way. So do you all just swallow it and accept it as the price we have to pay for running such exotica? Or am I missing a trick here? :naraz:

Use mine a lot of the time, but it also depends on where I'm going.
The X5 is used if I want to be a little more subtle.

I use mine for business, though with the new one I'll limit its use when possible just to keep the mileage reasonable and to keep within the upper mileage bracket. Travelling with a passenger helps as it adds 5 ppm.

Have you asked your accountant about a limited liability partnership. You can claim back, based on the split between private and business mileage, all expenses plus a depreciation allowance of £3000 pa. Thats how I run my GTS.

Hi Parisien

I have a 2011 GTS with MC shift in Granito with bordeaux leather, contrasting stiching, carbon interior trim, 20" Neptuune mercury wheels and lowered fixed rate suspension.

I've just given my Kia to the missus, so I'm using the Maser for everything at the moment. Did 150 business miles today in it up the M4. Did 150 miles in it yesterday - took the afternoon off and went surfing! Got some strange looks pulling the board out of the passenger seat next to a bunch of beat up Polos!

Needs must, and the conditions were good ...

Sea temperature is 8 degrees at the moment! It took only two duck-dives to get a bad headache.

I was down at Bells about 18 months ago, the tour guide on the day said the water was freezing, 15-16 degrees. I told him that's summer temperatures where I surf!

www.porthcawlsurf.co.uk (Old South Wales)

I'm off again tomorrow - air temp is predicted to be zero degrees, so the sea is the place to be to keep warm!
