I suspect its because nobody wants nettuno with avorio. Which is fortunate, as your interior looks decidedly beige. I'm not sure if its degeneration of my macula, or misrepresentation in your vernacular, but something looks off to me.

Go on... Admit it... Your maserati features the only interior colour that doesn't sound like a venetian dessert.

From a fellow nettuno / beige owner...

Haha

It's only because it was described as Avorio when I bought it but looking at google images it seems you may be correct.

My last 4200 interior was cuoio, but that was darker than this so I don't know what it is.

Is it just called beige? Really? Beige?

Beige just seems a bit of a boring, non-Italian name and not very Maserati of them.

I will however change my ad immediately in the interests of clarity and accuracy.

Certainly the odd one out in interior colour names. Every day is a school day.

Beige indeed.............................

If you want to spice it up a bit, the carpets are "tappeto biondo" which translates to "blond carpet"!

Useful chart, thanks.. My 3200 was Blu Nettuno with Beige and it was a great combination. For the Granturismo I went for Blu Oceano (a newer colour with a lot more going on in strong sunlight) and Cuoio as it hardly shows any marks even at ten years old. Nice car OP BTW.

I've just joined the forum in order to ask some questions about the car having been loitering on and off over the last few months as I toy with the idea of a Maserati.

I see you have had quite a bit of work done to the car since purchasing; are you able to provide details of what has been done recently, exact works done in the latest service, clarify whether the MOT advisories have all been attended to now and also what (if any) major items have been done according to the history folder - clutch/subframe work etc?

I'd be round to take a look at the car and talk to you if I wasn't the other end of the country and I've never sat in a Maserati coupe before so will have to see if I can find another closer to me to investigate in the flesh before I even consider a visit to Lancashire!

Thanks in advance.

Reluctantly selling my Maserati 4200 GT in Blu Nettuno with beige leather.

This is 6 speed manual gearbox car and has covered 53000 miles.

Comes with a thick history file and I had it serviced less than 500 miles ago at Autoshield Maserati.

I recently had an X pipe fitted and the original resonator, which is in perfect condition is also included.

It does have the usual sticky switch problem which was going to be my next job to do.

Looks and sounds wonderful but unfortunately it has to go.

I have now advertised it at £12950 and open to sensible offers as I've finally decided it has to go.
Happy to answer any questions or supply more images if required.
Hi,
I am interested with your car and would like to know more.
Could we connect via pm?

Kind regards

Gerry

Recent work includes a full service and timing cover leak fixed less than 500 miles ago at Autoshield Maserati. Cost £1558.92
The secondary air pump was replaced at Autosheid Maserati less than 400 miles ago. Cost £342.00
An annual service was carried out at SB Race Engineering less than 1000 miles ago in May 2020. Cost £699.25
All coil packs were replaced March 2020. Cost £412.37.
Clutch master cylinder changed at McGrath Maserati 3000 miles ago. Cost £600.00
The clutch was replaced less than 4000 miles ago at McGrath Maserati. Cost £4171.30.
There are 5 Maserati dealer stamps in the book and one other independent stamp from new until 2013, when it had done 47200 miles. The car was then rarely used in the owners private collection. All MOT certificates are present.
All the above is documented with a large file of invoces and receipts.
There is no corrosion, no oil leaks and all the electrics are in working order.
No previous accidents. Skyhook suspension working correctly
The subframes were checked when I bought the car 18 months ago and are sound but I have no photos of the underside but the sticky switches do need attention. They were next on my list of to-dos before I decided it might be going.

Well I've just put it on Collecting Cars with a silly low reserve so someone might just get a real bargain.

Looks nice but Pirellis that's me out, that and the Tax and VRT bringing it over here makes UK cars under 30 years old a bit of a non-starter at the moment.
