My 2001 3200 GTA is up for sale/offers - £15000

I live on the Isle of Skye, so viewing will be difficult! I am happy to deliver it if anyone is interested in buying. The car has been well cared for in the 4 years I've owned. However my local engineer has left the island and there is no-one else I'd trust to look after it. Like most car sthis age there are some things needing attending to which are listed below. There is a lot of good stuff though:
  • Its done 41,000 miles, and been well looked after.
  • Its an Automatic
  • New set of Michelin Pilot Sport 4s with maximum 300 miles on them.
  • New set of discs and pads 3 years ago (front and rear)
  • New Spark plugs two years ago.
  • Complete oil and coolant change two years ago plus new oil filter.
  • New front drop links two years ago.
  • It has a Pioneer DAB Radio in place of the original Becker with 6 CD changer (I still have these and they will be included)
  • Nice Tan and burgundy leather interior, with full leather headliner, which is quite unusual,
  • Gold Maserati Clock
  • Lots of receipts including the original bill of sale.
What’s needing done.
  • The main thing is the “error light” on the MFD. It came on two years ago.
  • I got Mike from the Maserati Shed to diagnose the issue (after a few attempts by so called specialists in Edinburgh) by sending Mike the Bilstein ECU Black Box, (his report is available) which shows:
    • Front offside Bilstein shock is faulty
    • The ABS rear Reluctor Rings are erroring (corroded)
    • The Sport Switch is erroring, but it functions OK.
  • My plan was to get my mechanic to take off all the shocks and I was going to send them all to Dave Askew to refurb. Meanwhile he was to:
    • Fit new reluctor rings
    • Fit new rear drop links
    • Replace all the hoses with Roose Motorsport silicone ones
    • have a all the parts for the above work.
I am unable to get these maintenance task carried out anywhere reasonably close to Skye. So its probably time for someone else to look after her. The car has just passed the MOT (14/11/2022) so has nearly a full years MOT.

Happy to answer any questions. PM me if you want to chat on the phone. I'm in no big hurry to sell.
Plenty more photos available ...

That looks like an absolute beaut owned by a real enthousiast! Someone will get lucky, but I suggest you post the price plus mention whether or not said work will have been carried out or not and if not, what the expected or even better quoted cost is. Just asking for offers rarely works, you need a starting point that is realistic in the current market.

Good advice thanks for that.

Looks lovely. One of the main points buyers would want to know is when the belts were last done. I didn't see mention of them. Good luck with the sale, nice Christmas present for someone

Lovely colour. GLWS.

I think I recognise the first photograph. Is that from the garage/dealer from where you purchased the car originally?

I was told the belts were done at a service just before I bought it. There was no invoice of this.

For the moment my car is not for sale, I've decided to sort the issues mentioned above so its with a specialist getting everything sorted. Then I'm going on a road trip to Italy and visiting friends and car museums on the way. Schlumpf in Mulhouse, Maserati Factory Tour, Panini Collection, then the Fiat Heritage Centre in Torino. I'm saving the Alfa museum for another trip. Once I'm back home I'll put it up for sale. I'll be traveling back from France via Dover, so if anyone wants to see it on my trip home to Skye I can drop by :)

As things stand I'd like a look if you're on the M6 route back to Skye. When is this trip happening?
