After carful consideration it is time to part with my beloved manual 3200 gt.

I have owned her since February 2013 and during my ownership spent considerable time, effort and money maintaining her. She is in superb condition throughout, probably one of the best in the UK.

I am sure some of you will recognise the car from the past, as it did attend a few events, but as time has gone on work has taken over and less and less time as been spent enjoying this wonderful car. It needs to be enjoyed regularly and this has cemented my decision.

The car has a little over 62,000 miles, and will come with a fresh MOT and be freshly serviced (with Selina oil) including the three yearly CAMBELT changed.

The car is a 1999 Grigio Touring (Silver) with Blu (blue) interior. I regularly treat and maintain the leather with Gliptone products.

I have a huge file which includes every penny i have spend on the car in my ownership which includes new battery, new (upgraded) engine coolant hoses throughout (including those in the V block under the inlet manifold), replacement induction hoses (turbo side), turbo oil drain hoses, new brake lines and upgraded braided links to the callipers, all four brake callipers overhauled, new genuine disc’s all round (with a spare set), EBC yellow pads all round, Goodyear Asymetric 2 tyres all round, upgraded exhaust system (which sounds increadible), replacement genuine windscreen, knock sensors, new water pump, cambelt pulleys and bearings, HID headlight ugrade... this is just a small portion of what has been completed.

I will add some photos once the cambelt work has been completed (i am waiting on a tensioner to arrive) and she is washed, polished and waxed.

I am happy to answer any questions you may have. The car is in Dorset.

Price £14,995

Hi, I might be interested. If you’ve seen my newbie post you’ll see I’ve been thinking about a newish Ghibli diesel but a really decent 3200 is still an option given my past ownership (and nothing to do with the amount of scorn the diesel attracts)! I’m in Salisbury with helps. Can you pm me some more details, service history, end float etc. Cheers Mark

Bring in Dorset, I take it that the car would be familiar to Emblem?
If so they would have produced a 'to do' list as long as your arm from big things like clut or cambelt for instance, to the minutest of details such as missing plastic spoiler on windscreen wiper.
So if that list exists and is short then no problem, its better than a survey on your house.

That looks fantastic, a properly sorted 3200 is a car to lust after - good luck although I doubt you will need it

Blast from the past Al! Sad to see you selling but well done for keeping her for so long. Remember seeing it at BIAMF when I first met you!

Maserati have made some good cars over the years (and some not so good ) they have made and re built the brand name several times only to drag and diminish it down again , one of their biggest failings was to discontinue those boomerangs onto the 4200 and Gransport models, never had a 3200 but i still ache for those boomerangs

Good luck with the sale , she looks in fine fettle

Every word a true gem. Time will tell but I think a good 32 will outshine the 42, GS and I hate to admit, even the GT. it when on song cannot be beaten for looks, thrill and smile in a trident but I accept, from my own experience, that being on song is not the 32's natural forte :(

I agree with this, Although I have never yearned for a 3200 and never liked the 'Boomerang' rear lights (there, I said it) You cannot get away from the fact that is was the last 'true' Maserati for the Purists amongst us!!

Agreed as time goes on the 3200 will be the one that people want, the foibles are an expected part of classic car ownership.
