Finally decided to sell. You were thinking about selling in 2017!

Good luck with sale.
Thanks and yes, I've been toying with selling on and off for a while but this is the first time I've seriously gone about it. I'm getting mixed messages about whether this is a good or bad time to sell so we'll see. I just don't get a chance to use it and the lockdown has only emphasised that, hence the listing on the auction site. The site seems to be doing good business and on the face of it works well for cars like ours. Time will tell whether this is the case or not!

Good luck with the sale - toying with the idea of using that site to sell my Lotus (regrettably!) so would be interested to hear how it goes.

I will provide some feedback. I like the concept of selling though an auction site as you don't get all the idiots and chancers contacting you that would get if you try to sell on a conventional site such as Autotrader or worse still, Ebay. However, that's all for nothing if it doesn't sell! We will see.....

A shameless bump for my car. It passed its MOT today without any advisories.
Auction on Collecting Cars ends Weds 19th at 8:40pm.
Here it is waiting for its test at the garage next to a very yellow Lotus Esprit turbo.

I will ask around but don't know of anyone looking for one off the top of my head. How much you looking for?

So, by the time the purchaser has paid the Auction their share - its cost him £14.6K. Collect from Aberdeenshire, and they perhaps wont see much change from £15K...
Not what a good car would fetch two or three years ago but not terrible either, in the current market...?
Not the £7K some of you were bandying about a few months back anyway...! :)

Must admit as someone trying to buy a 3200 at the moment, I'm quite turned off by auctions, there have been a few up for sale and they are much less attractive than owner sold cars, a fairly large part of it is the viewing process, if I'm going to drive several hours to view a car I want to know the price it's for sale at before setting off and have a fair shot of buying it. I don't want to travel down, discover it's the right car but then the price shoots over budget, it has just been a waste of time.

That said I'm getting sick of traders too, been royally messed around by a couple now. Not sure why Maseratis seem to land at cowboy traders, but they do seem to.
