Totally agree that steering wheel is a shocker indeed and yet could have easily been sorted out.

When somebody at an auction overbids and you end up with no margin.

Even assuming no buyer's fees, if they paid £27,500 and are only (starting advertising) at £30,000, there is no money to be made by the time they have to put through workshop and warranty etc.

Same name, but I'd be surprised if it has all of the main dealer 'benefits'.

It didn’t sell did it? It’ll be SOR from the owner I reckon. Meridien wouldn’t buy that at auction.

Looking at the auction again, I think you may be right. I read "buy at £27,500" as 'bought at' so SOR is probably right.

Why the seller thinks this is a realistic option when it didn't sell at auction or why seller thinks putting a car with obvious defects into a showroom are different questions.

Perhaps the seller is a ‘client’ of Meridian and they are doing him/her a favour with a rather nice % if they flog it.

As a single owner, 25k car, with full main dealer service history, its a nice looking car and I think £30k seems cheap (especially with presumably a decent warranty). However, I’m more than a little biased, given I only recently bought a very similar spec and condition GS for slightly more than that!

I’m surprised they haven’t sorted the steering wheel and airbag that need fixing, and I have no clue how expensive that would be?
