Magnesium Wheels?

Anyone know if the wheels on the 3200 are made of Magnesium?

Speaking to a powder coating crowd about getting my wheels done and they can't do it if they are made of Magnesium.

How would you know!

Nope, just sprayed to look like it...even the 3200 AC were alloy, unless I am wrong

Chip away at one corner of the paint then apply a naked flame, you'll soon know

I would reckon probably video the experiment and recover the cost if the torched car in film rights!!!!

Maybe i could chip off a little bit and try burning it its not a bad idea.

i doubt the wheels are made of magnesium, the only car i know that has magnesium wheels is the Porsche Carrera GT and if you kerb them you can not have them repaired, they have to be replaced, £5000 a wheel.
