I saw that one too. It’s got a 4 seat bonnet, but no mention of why. It does look nice though!

Given the miles and location, at first I though it was the one that Malcolm bought from Redline that was there for a while, which I offered on,
Would have to check thru the threads tho,
Must be photos from summer or the clocks wrong...

If that was a 4 seater I would be very tempted.
Clearly isn’t owned by a hedge fund manager. To pay £3500 on a service 30 miles before you sell it. I think it’s gorgeous Jon- and well priced- go for it!!

This may be a stupid question, but how do you both know it’s not a 4 seater? No pictures of the back row, so is there another way of telling?

This has bee discussedd lots on here and been for sale a few times in the last year and a half. It's been for sale for a few months now on Piston Heads. It's a two seater which has had the 4 seater bonnet added. Think last year it was for sale at a Maserati dealer then a few months later at independent dealer in Yorkshire.

Andy is right, it’s been talked about before. Personally, I wouldn’t buy a car with a different bonnet unless I was absolutely certain why that’s been changed. It could be legit however that’s a £6-8k bonnet so you’d need to really want another scoop to have done that and you’d probably have the original to switch back too.

I know that there is one around, which could be this one, that failed inspection needing new carbon brakes all round. If anyone is seriously looking, I would 100% be getting it inspected. Be careful. It could all check out fine but it’s wise not to find out the hard way.

I’d wager a bet that it is a two seater simply because the cost of the two seater seats into a four seater would be very prohibitive, if you could get hold of them.

Interestingly, I had a call from my dealer the other day asking me if I wanted to sell my 4-seater as he has a customer wanting one.

I said that I had not even considered it but he then offered me a very very strong price considering that they would have to prep any car and warrant any car.

That has got me thinking as McLarens keep popping up on my PistonHeads search!

If anyone is thinking about a four seater Strad and I am the original purchasing owner, let me know as The dealer has switched on the “oh, look I can now buy a McLaren “...

Just spoke to the owner and it is confirmed as a two seater despite having the 4 seater bonnet. It was bought new from HR Owen and they specced it as an option apparently. He said it wants for nothing. Shame it's not a 4 seater as I'd be all over that...

Mmmmmm...very nice. Might be a hard sell as a private sale at that level. Most will be looking to buy from a dealer for piece of mind I would expect. I could have been interested at £50k but for me that is twice the price of any car of I have ever bought in my life ever at £50k. I just can't get past that virtual mental £50k barrier.

Yep I hear you especially as the prices could and might come crashing down. I'm still in two minds about a Strad and when I see them at nearly £80k I do wonder if i'm doing the right thing. Is it 3 times the GTS? I know it's newer but that's about it... :( Weird situation and feeling....

Don’t have many photos (have loads of the rest of the crew). Here is one I found off my iPhone...

Nero with Nero Alcantara and leather interior with red stitching and red stitched headrests...

Red calipers, carbon interior. 22k Miles. I am original owner.

4 year service done in March at 21k miles. Clutch wear was 27%.

Has year 4&5 full warranty on the car which runs out at end Jan 2019.

About to replace with 4 new tyres in the next week.

Can you send some of your fleet? 205? R5? 22B? I can't remember what else you have

Agreed. Doesn't seem like a good time to sink best part of 60k into a Strad IMHO. How much more was a Strad new over a GT S?

I would challenge that as far as I know it wasn't even an option of the 4 seater bonnet back then. That only came out with the 4 seater. I cannot imagine Maserati making a one off bonnet for it.....I have a full option list and it isn't mentioned on there. The only way would have been a Trofeo bonnet was added as they did have them on the racer I believe.

The bonnet looks different to the 4 seater one to me. The main intake looks more pronounced.
