Loving the new stance

My new look, lowered to Gransport height and 15mm spacers, Handling seems much sharper, and hasn't been set up properly yet so even better things to come on that front, and the brakes, WOW what a difference, having discovered that every wheel had one of the pads so stuck in that they had to be removed with a hammer, which meant that one pad on every calliper was virtually like new, (the seized ones) yet the other was down to 3mm! so new discs and yellow stuff pads all around, and boy you can feel the difference, and that's just taking it easy as they're not fully bedded in yet, it certainly makes all the hard work of the last few weeks worth it, oh and she flew through the MOT on thurs with a clean sheet (again) 010.jpg012.jpg009.jpg

Looks good, were the pads seized from install do you think? on mine I've had to file new pads to give them the clearance to move in the calipers, only the paint needed removing really but that was enough to make the pads bind!

Yeah pretty sure they were like that from installation, I had to file quite a bit off most of the pads to get an acceptable fit.

Thanks Andy, were getting there, the list of have too's is getting smaller, trouble is all this talk of carbon fibre dipping is making the list of want too's longer!

It certainly is, I'd be bored stiff if I had a car that I just had to get in and drive, its all part of the enjoyment of car ownership having things to do to bring it up to standard, maintain and improve it, trouble is when its all done then you start thinking about a change, so good job this is going to keep me going for a few years!

Thanks Stevie, Black chrome apparently, I like them.

I have a similar colour spare set for my GS. I need to put them on to see how they look against black. I think I'm going to restore my originals and keep them safe and then do something interesting/unusual with the spare set for everyday use.
I see you're an ex ST man - mine is such a hoot!

Yes, they're (focus st) great fun, mine was tuned to around 300bhp, which is probably why I blew the engine up!
