Erm, it’s not a V12 ;)
Pedant! There's a 12 in the name, at least. I did hear that the V12 engine will resume being manufactured at some point, possibly by Cosworth, maybe Ricardo. But most likely not AM. Shame, it's an absolute gem.

The DB12 does look nice, but it's a feck-ton of money and won't hold value. The new V12 Vantage isn't reaching overs despite being limited production, but in fairness to Aston they're refusing to take back the cars of wannabe flippers for anything more than retail price. Buyers lucky enough to get one who planned on flipping are being denied the chance when they decide they 'just don't really get on with it.' Not an issue sir, we'll buy it back but don't expect to make any profit. Anyone who tries to profit outside the network gets blacklisted.

I thought the V12 vantage thing was the last V12. That’s what Aston said wasn’t it?

I thought so as well but I think that there may be a special one off in this as well plug you read between the lines. But then who knows. Looking at the performance figures of the V8 a V12 may not add that much more performance.

Widely held that the V8 DB11 was better balanced than the V12 and I agree other than a V12 is a V12. I would prefer an Aston designed at the outset to have a V12 and one that didn't look like it was trying too hard. They have yet to improve on the Vanquish looks/interior/AMi III infotainment. Add into that a full carbon-fibre bodyshell and na V12, save a fortune and buy a Vanquish. Smaller as well, can get in car parks.

A little something for @Andyk. I hear talk as well of a V12 version, Andy. Start saving!

Evolution rather than revolution. But they seem to have taken the best bits from the DB11 and DBS and made a better car with a proper interior. I see a mule for the new face lift Vantage and that has the same grill from the look of things. They will not miss the opportunity to seek a few more units by putting a V12 in before they will not be allowed to.

Vanquish is arguably Aston Martins most elegant modern design. It is ageing really well and looks better today than it did when it came out. A true beauty.

I have to say when I saw this at Goodwood it was very underwhelming. I get it will be a fantastic drive and fast etc but the rear with that big fan thingy just looked horrid and the rest was trying too hard to look like the original McLaren F1 and there is only one F1. One thing it has got right is that it is small I like most super cars these days.

New Vantage. Was always going to have the DB12 look at the front which does look goods and the lovely updates interior. Also good to see they have replaces the pea shooter exhaust tips with larger ones.

Nice but like all modern sportscars these days just trying too hard

I love the last one was never going to not like the update as they have improved the front end and given it a much better interior. As soon as the DB12 came out you could see that the Vantage would get a similar front which for me is a good thing.

I like it very much (but haven't looked at pricing yet). What we can be sure of is that it will have beeps and bongs galore because regulations.
I heard starting price of £165K - for sure you will be able to spend a lot more than that on it! For me will depend a bit on how it sounds - not too farty please, more class. On paper I would take it over the new Maserati GT but let's see how they age and depreciate over the next several years.

Looks very nice indeed. Beeps and bings will be a problem though sadly, not astons fault of course.

Also, is it just me being old, but as road cars, I’m not sure what all these huge power outputs add. Apart from a raft of electronics needed, because of said power, to save people from themselves, huge wheels/brakes/cooling etc.
