It is very sad for the person who decides it seems the only way to end their current plight. Sad for the related families and friends. Also very sad that society is creating this situation as a more common occurrence.

I think we have moved forward as a race so much in so many ways but also backwards in so many other ways.

It is very selfish of someone to do this to their families and friends though. Troubles should and could be shared but the realtionships need to be there to make sure it is obvious and available. This is often the issue and something we need to get over as a society.

The thing you have to remember about suicide, is that the person taking their own life doesn't want to die, they just can't they just can't see a way out of their own suffering.

Suicide is the biggest killer of men under 45, something needs to be done about this, you have so much funding for Womens issues, there is next to nothing for men.
Society has skewed everything so far into keeping women happy so they do not play the sexism card that men have been forgotten about.
Sexism these day is more against men than it is women.
