I bought the car.
The owner was a lovely very honest guy.
I don't see the fuss about the SORN or private reg as it was all backed up by the paperwork. looking forward to using and driving the car.
Well done....hope you bought it for a steal as well

Enjoy it Paul. And I trust my old Khamsin is still making you happy. Good appreciation since you had it off me!

Hi Ewan

What a lovely surprise hearing from you. I created a new profile as I cant seem to access my old one and cant get to re-set the password.

The K's have appreciated only if you sell them! Mind you I have spent twice what I paid you for it on work on the car! I still have her and the rest of my old bangers. Sadly not used her much this year for various reasons and getting some final fettling done just now. The k always attracts a lot of attention when I drive it about and is deceptively fast. In the profile pic I was racing a replica GT40 around Alford circuit. There wasn't much in it. Funnily enough I was speaking to someone who knew you through cars recently. Small world.

I had always fancied the 4200. The first one I drove about 20 years ago was very impressive, doing a comfortable 135mph cruise for 40miles on a motorway through rain. I think like the K, it is a massively undervalued and appreciated car. It always had a better engine than the contemporary 360's, which I also drove a bit back then.

I know it is madness now having 2 M; 2L and 1 F car as well as the wee Fiats! Life is too short not to enjoy lovely old things that make you smile, and mostly cry! Or is it the other way around? lol

if you are ever up here in gods chosen country give me a call and let us meet up for a coffee and car chat.

Regards

Paul
