Not a specialist dealer and it shows with the advert.

It does not have xenon lights
clutch is stated as done some 10k ago but no indication of wear % via a SD3. Given the last one went at c20k it could be well on its way again.
please have a full inspection as this is a 14 year old car and parts still cost the same as when it was new at c £65k

Or you could just ask Richard Grace to find ine for you and not have to worry.

Nice colour combination, and not easy to find with that low a mileage. Worth a look. But as with any second-hand Maserati, do have it checked over by a specialist before making the purchase.

It does look good, but treat it like any other 14yr old car (apart from the parts cost) get it on a ramp for proper inspection for the normal corrosion / general neglect.

Stamps in the book and low miles are no guarantee of a good car but a reasonable starting point.

There are recent threads on ownership experience from forum members: fifty and oneball that give good insight.

Don’t say that ffs you’ll put him off!

Seriously don’t get hung up on low mileage. Mine is a 2001 and has done 25k, over the last 10 years it’s done a few hundred miles a year. Either as a cause or result of that loads of stuff was wrong that if you were using it regularly you’d fix.

My advice would be find a car that’s been used regularly and has a history that isn’t just yearly services.

Yes agree with everyone else get it inspected

Aside from the usual stuff to look out for on any used car (e.g. brakes suspension tyres etc.) As long as these are ok the biggest maintenance bills you might have are Heater Matrix and Clutch. Major service is another: make sure none of these have been skipped and if it is due then try to get some money off (costs circa £1k for a major).

Here is the thread I made that GP79 refers to: https://www.sportsmaserati.com/inde...00-project-the-story-so-far-and-beyond.28073/

And remember they are scheduled to have a service every year regardless of miles.... so 14 should be in the book.

If they say it's only done on milea they are wrong/lying. One or two missed is ok but if it only has one every 10k it has been maintained on a shoe string.

So I looked at the car today a lovely car but when driving I had no wipes and no indercater but when back and restarted they worked also the car kept steaming up which I thought could be the heater matrix the bloke said it might be because he just had it cleaned he wouldn't move on the price so think I will leave that one shame as a lovely car.

I think you did the right thing. In my experience cars keep steaming up because there’s a leak. Might be the heater matrix, might be rain but it’s getting wet.

Every car dealer I have visited with a steamed up car always says it is because they have just valeted it, as above its because there is water in it and valeting is only one potential cause of that so check thoroughly

If a good car wouldn't that be up for 25k....So even if it needs a bit of work it could be a good buy.

You did well to move on, those issues are resolvable but you want a car that works and a seller willing to move on price if not.
