With a view to develop a pair of "sportmaserati carbon fiber paddle", I would need a used pair of OE gear shift paddle at little price, even if damaged..they will sure be damaged after making a mould so I dont want to use mine.

I would like to do something different than fd.making copy is not my favourite job..and we could develop our own identity..
I will contact coraneo address..
The paddles should be bigger in the thickness. Will study if it is possible to make something nice at a good price. If we make something at the same price it is not interesting for the community.
I found a pair but at 400 eu plus fees to develop the mould and sample it won't be good.

I received an answer at 100£+VAT, it is the best price I had until now.
I have another possibility to make differents pads machined in aloy to make a template. Will tell you soon the news.

How about looking at the group buy thread on ML and contacting one of the guys who bought them, he is sure to have the old paddles tossed in a box somewhere, probably give you them for free.

Hello I worked today on a protoype

Can you tell me what you think of this design ?
It will be modified, more like a wing not like a laser cut.

Waiting your reactions.

Looks good as a starting point. Have you considered what it's like against / behind the steering wheel??

I'd suggest making them longer so they cover more of the turn of the steering wheel. The extended paddles on my car (same as the FD ones) make a real difference, especially when on a track or pushing on on the twisty stuff.

Sorry the quality isn't great - phone camera, but hopefully you can see the extended turn of the wheel that's still within the reach of the paddles...

Here are the last modifications of today:

The paddles are smaller now, more curved and not stright cut, they are curved cut like a wing.
Painted in black to have a better idea of the result.
Will try to make a photoshop to put carbon on it.

Hello
The prototype have been bent and put on the car to check.
Now I must make a 3D scan and find a supplier for this.

Apart from the result, this is a nice effort Nico.

What i was thinking is, the facelift models had aluminium paddles, or alu coating. It would be a nice idea for me as well.

It is a so long work to make it ! I wont sale aluminium paddles .. it could be nice in good quality laser cuted yes !
I hope I will find a good supplier now because untill now all I found quote me heavy prices, costs would be 350 euros because they must do 2 mould for one paddle so 4 moulds. I would like to find less expansive to see my own design paddle in CF !.

I like the paddles that Miles has, these are longer on the bottom leg than mine and I would think more versatile to use.
