The NIT unit on my 2009 Granturismo (4.2) has packed up. Has anyone got a replacement available for purchase?

Failing that, has anyone replaced theirs with an after market unit (brand new touch screen all singing all dancing etc) and found that it actually works ok? ie No flashing odometer!!

You will need a working NIT for the flashing Odo. @Contigo will be able to help you I am sure. As for upgrades, there is a carplay kit you will find elsewhere on the forum which is a really worthwhile addition to the standard system.

Yes we have exchanged messages thanks. I have taken my unit to Cartronics in Byfleet and they can repair it for approx 2k but it could take weeks or even months to get the necessary components from abroad. The only alternative I have been offered is the after market unit which apparently is very modern and will only take a couple of weeks to install but there seem to be questionmarks about its functionality/compatability with all the other systems that the NIT unit controls, so at £2500 it might be abit risky. (hence my post this evening)

I vote BS! I can imagine there are no fancy components or are they ordering the gold plated whatsymajig direct from Maserati Iceland? Spoke to Prestige?

Cartonics will tell you the logic board is fried. Nah I've fixed lots of their units with a new HDD. It's probably the power board and I hope to have a spare soon. Send me the NIT and I will take a look at it for you.
