Long shot Android Studio

A long shot.
Does anyone here have rudimentary Android Studio Skills who would help with a trivial task.

I'm trying to get an app to receive the Firebase Messaging token for a notification so that I can use the token to fire off a push notification from a remote app. Tried it using their course firebase messaging 1.2 and fine but that has loads of extraneous rubbish. Tried setting it up via loading the Firebase SDK and following the guidance. However I'm getting errors. Tried examples elsewhere and yay they're all out of date. Spent hours going round in circles.

Anyone point me where I can get rational help?

Froooooooooooooooooo, I knew I shouldn't have done it.

You nooorty boys.

Trouble is, some subjects have specialist language for precision, especially pure science and mathematics. Some have jargon to obfuscate, and reinforce club clique.

Android Kotlin is verging on the latter. I hate it. It's just a small simple element in what I'm trying to do, and far from the usual, but taking inordinate time.

If any have been in the areas of deep national security, try listening to a conversion in which every objective noun is a codeword, (contained need-to-know). Surreal. But there is a purpose.

Anyroadup. Thanks for the humour chaps.

Onward, I'll crack the s0d eventually.
