Just don’t understand them.
March I had a quote on a Strad £2k ish
March to March my Daily BMW 09 diesel cost me £850 (inc business use)

Got a quote for the Strad 9ish months later £925, result. Then do you want to add multicar (admiral) you can add the car and the insurance starts from when it’s due so March. Both together £1136! Win win

Breakdown is Strad £567 and BM £569 !
Ok I understand that the intended mileage on the BM is more and business use but still ?
Don’t make sense to me but a nice surprise compared to the £2800 I was expecting.

I think your first mistake was to use the word logic in the same sentence and the words insurance company.

But considering how rare it is for someone to come out on the winning side I would take that and run. My current premium for the Strad is in the region of £800 so you have done well there!

Good point :)
Yeah I took it there and then. I thought it may be because when I last quoted I was 29 (few days away from 30) now the big 30 so obviously much more sensible :D

£2,800 f*cking **** that's ridiculous. I'm assuming the business use makes a huge difference.

I insure a Granturismo S & a BMW 330D at 30 years old (plus another driver under 30 with zero no claims) for £750, so I get car insurance & a week in the sun for the same price!

Last year all 3 cars £986.60 premium. Claim for accidental damage July 18 - insurer paid out £10k
Renewal £1871. Reason given change of insurer as original insurer not interested

Just been quoted £1179.88 by AIB with better excess.

One very happy bunny

I tried one insurance company but they wouldn't quote as they deemed my occupation to be on their banned list so went with another who were happy to quote, googled the parent company and I think you can guess the rest, the no quote dart must've missed the quote price board completely and hit the wall

I recently added my brother temporarily to my 3200 policy for a trip we went on together and they gave me a refund of £1.25 for adding another driver. Could not believe it, apart from not being worth the bother for a quid why reduce the premium? The mind boggles.

When I had the impreza my wife had a neurological illness , it was over a year before she could drive again , I was dreading putting her back on the insurance , when I did after the admin fee I got a £25 refund
