As above really. Keys in car, stepped out of car and it has locked itself. Is there any known fixes? 2015 Qp6

Bloody ****. I’ve heard stories of people stuck in Levantes’ stuck in drive - can’t move until someone disconnects the battery - but that is annoying.

I have a fear of locking the key in the car, cos I did it once. So now I say to myself 'where is the key' - oh it's in pocket, good.

Doesn't help the OP though....

Did this in a rental last year.

After an hour and a half the car turned its self off and unlocked... just as the AA arrived.

I imported some god awful late 80s BMW 7 series from Japan many years back. Think it was a 750il. If memory serves me correctly, there was something unusual about the key, whereby if the car battery was flat, the key would neither open the car {frequency} nor could you manually open it. Battery inside the car under rear seat just made it worse. BmW refused to help given it was a grey import. So i priced up replacement cost for all windows, and after finding the windscreen was cheapest, called the glass fella out to my house, threw a brick threw the window, got inside the car... Eventually... And waited for new glass.

And then fixed the **** battery... Which weighed a ton.

Please dont do that with your maser.

All sorted and back home!

You gotta love Dubai. Indian guy with 20 years locksmith experience had it picked in 30 seconds for the price of a tank of fuel in UK.
As long as said locksmith doesn't know where you garage your car...

But given that is likely a capital crime... Might dissuade them anyway..

Well done on the quick fix!

Apparently it can happen with a failing battery in key fob so will get that replaced. Is that something I can do?

Yes it's quite easy. You need a small hex screw driver. See this vid...
