Location of ODB connector on a 4200 CC

Hi all. My car is going fine but threw an engine light this morning.

Now I'm sure I've plugged in an ODB port reader before, but can't find now where I plugged it in. I've searched everyhere online, but I've drawn a blank.

It always says below the steering wheel, or to the left, but I've looked hard with my bad vision and lousy mobility and I'm not seeing anything.

Am I missing something? I haven't found any clear pics.

Hi Graeme,
Under the steering wheel you should feel it if you can't see it as it's black.

It is quite a way under the steering wheel - try following the accelerator pedal up in the footwell and you will find it

you may have to pull the carpet away to gain access from the door area.

I had another good look and managed to find it. It's hidden away, below and to the right of the steering wheel - as Fifty said up from the accelerator pedal.

I found it by touch.
