Come on guys I did this track several times organized by Andy and it's Great fun.
I have driven there Everytime in a variety of cars that I had from a quick little Honda Civic with 160 BHP to using my 4200 my 360 Modena F1 and my 300 pounds Stirling E 36 M3 3.0 which again as a standard car was brilliant fun never had any issues just Fun.
Just do it :)

I must admit for a forum of petrol heads many seem reluctant to take their cars out on track. It's what they are made for , they love being revved and driven hard these Masers.

Location might have something to do with it Phil. For me it's a near 500 mile, 10 hour round-trip to Llandow from our place in the UK; obviously it's even further for anyone who lives north of me. That doesn't make it a cheap track day compared to say going to Donington, or Blyton where many of the magazines do their tests.

I live in the south, and it's near as **** it 4 hours each way for me. Around the M25. I have no need to defend my willingness or otherwise to track my car, but that's just not going to happen.

It is between a 7-8 hour round trip for me as well from the South. I'm in but I can understand many that some can't justify it. The day itself at £100 is good but with 8+ hours travelling for some adding maybe £100-150 in fuel I can see the issue.

A track day is something I really want to do, but a couple of things preventing me at present, 1:- present insurance policy does not cover me for track use, so until renewal time at the end of may, when I will get it added. 2:- brakes really need sorting, and since I have been unable to source new discs yet, would like to get that all sorted first, oh and the fact that I have never tracked anything is also a bit worrying, but I am working on that!

1. Most of us don't, simply because it's very expensive and usually only covers certain tracks with certain organisers, the chances of it covering Llandow and our track day are slim to none. The chances of you being involved in an accident are also slim.
2. Brakes, pah who needs them at LLandow, if you overcook it off the straight there is a "brake fade lane" to use :D

Come along mate you will love it.

It's not just about the track day which is a great day but the social event the night before. Meet up with like minded car nuts, great Italian food and chat.

Agree with Andy.
Although its close for me, I am going to meet up with you guys. Its long overdue.
I may well not take my car on the track (if I still have this one that is.... :) ) But it will be worth it to admire, see and hear others.

Hi Alan, we need another 7 to make it work. If we can get close I'll go back to Llandow and see what I can do on price. Really need to get the places filled over the next 3 weeks as I will need to leave a deposit so need to make sure it's covered before I do.........Now there is an V8 Vantage coming I'll bloody make sure we have enough....

All....anymore .... Another 7 should do it...
