A mate said to me decades ago, never trust a company that cannot spell its own name right. I must ask him what about a company that cannot spell Gran Tourismo (sic)

I think some get lost in the fact that Liberty Walk is a Japanese company for, ostensibly, a Japanese market. It is a different interpretation of aftermarket styling from the European or US tuners.

Is it an abomination? Possibly in the same way that Mansory and Khan are to some people's eyes.

But you need to have an appreciation of the Japanese tuning scene to see where it fits and, in that context, I quite like it.

As @Doctor Houx posted, a cat D(?) 4.2 GT is being fitted with the LW bodykit on YouTube. Is the guy condemning a perfect specimen? Certainly not. Will the eventual owner after he has raffled it off have a unique car? Definitely. Does it look like too much cost and effort to produce something that will have a limited appeal? To my eyes, yes. Will I enter the raffle to try and win it? Probably.

I for one enjoyed the video and hats off (better than backwards!) to him for his get up and go and wanting to do a good job. While the end result may not be to most of our tastes, he's promoting the brand and extolling the virtues of the car that we all appreciate.

Can't help feeling that he rather glossed over the exhaust fitting though. I recall there was someone who documented how they'd fitted a Stradale rear end and had to modify the area behind to allow for the Stadale exhausts. Something that he's not done. It would be interesting to see how that looks.

such a hate thread! can't see much point:p. and in any case I quite like those crazy LW cars. I'd like to think the conversions are done on basket cases or accident damaged cars, in the sense that prime material is not being chopped up, but, to be honest, I guess they make them because there is a market and many more likers than to be found on SM

Personally, I really don't like this; each to their own though ;). Kind of reminds me of barryboys.co.uk which I found hillarious. Sadly it's closed now, but still available to view. Some corkers there and I loved the attitude ( especially the "if you are offended" page ). Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.........
