Classic is every two years so next one will be 2024, still gives plenty of time for planning!
I am of the understanding that there will be a Classic in 2023 to coincide with 100th anniversary of Le Mans 24.
Yes, that's right. Having one next year gets the Classic back on to the 'correct' 2-year interval and aligns with the centenary.

I know this makes us sound like a pair of overprivileged dicks but Jo and I were remembering when we first went to LeMans in 1986.I was a very tired junior doctor and we set off in the Lancia completely forgetting any tapes. We had Tears for Fears and Brothers in Arms and that was it. I nearly killed us by falling asleep on the way there. After a strong coffee I managed to screw 120mph out of the HPE thinking that you only live once and that he best way to stay awake was to PUSH . An awesome time and we have been back many times to the race but never to the classic. the GT may exceed 120 this year (f the gendarmes). Jo is rooting in the cellar for the CDs!
My first visit in 1986 too and been to every 24H and Classic since bar 1996 and 2020. In 86 it was camping on ACO Houx campsite with MG Midget and a 2 man tent, living on red wine.

Now it’s gastronomic lunches from restaurants in Arnage and my French home in La Chartre opposite the Hotel de France. Travel there and back in a Cayenne, Aston or Bentley.

So soft with old age!

I refer you to previous comments about the 4 Yorkshiremen. I will arrive in style in a Granturismo, but still in a tent!

I did a road rally in it this weekend just gone. 80 miles was more than enough. Deaf and aching and headache from being at exhaust level behind other cars and breathing in fumes.

Total respect for those who drove them for 24H at 200 mph down the Mulsanne…..at night….in the rain. Just Wow!
Next year, I’ll drive it down for you

I am available to drive it for you if that would help.
