Lynda and I will be at next year's classic. Can't decide whether to take the Aston or the Spyder, but looking forward to perhaps seeing some of you guys there

Hi Andy

Karen and I came over to see you and Lynda at Oulton to say goodbye but you were both asleep in the Aston so we didn't want to disturb you both. Then we came back about 20 mins later and you had gone. Hope to see you both soon.

To get this back 'on message'

I hope to have prices for a Hotel with Spa in then next week or so.
Choice of Standard, Executive and Suites so you can choose the level of comfort/style you desire.

I'm very interested Peter, thanks for looking into this. Look forward to seeing what they come back with.

OK Château found with 12 rooms pencilled in.

Rate is €200 per room (based on two sharing) per night with a holding arrangement for Thurs to Sun. It is a posh place with a fine dining restaurant, spa and outdoor pool.

The 12 who have already expressed an interest will be given priority and rooms will need to be booked and paid for in advance directly with hotel (refunds as per their standard T&Cs)

Will PM you direct once I have a voucher code from the château.

Thanks, Peter, for organising this. The Chateau looks fab and I just need a car to hammer across France in now :D

Spose I better find another job. Anyone need a really good Director of IT ops or CIO? ;)

Regrettably due to a large number of members who have had a change of heart, I will no longer be organising a group trip.

We will still be going and staying at the same place, but people will need to make thier own plans.

Hope to see those who have already booked alternative stays when we get to the circuit.

I am on the 11pm ferry from Newhaven to Dieppe on Wednesday 1st. Anyone else?

I will be at Le Bounty for cooked brekkie and little traffic.

Yep, I’m on that ferry too. Will be down to Hotel de France in La Charte for breakfast by about 9 am provided the passport check at Dieppe doesn’t take too long with a full ferry of cars. Has been very slow in recent months even in the off peak season.

Maybe we can go down together then? I am going to Le Bounty, at Teloche. Do they let you go to your car during crossing or not? I don't bother with a cabin or anything fancy.

No you can’t visit the cars during the crossing. I have homes in Provence and La Chartre so use this crossing like a bus service every month at least. It’s good value compared to Brittany Ferries crossings from Portsmouth but the ships are pretty basic with a self serve cafe and a bar. No cinema / restaurant etc

I always book a cabin as a few hours sleep is very welcome and there is little else to do. Usually only £30 per crossing but they ramp up prices for LM and LMC.
