Karcher Under Chassis Cleaner - review

Having seen a mention of this new product I recently bought a Karcher Chassis Cleaner
http://www.alexshanks.com/karcher-under-chassis-cleaner-accessory-p1174
and thought I would post a review in case others are considering it.

I recommend it especially if you are driving your car in the winter and want to get rid of the salt and gunk. Easy to use and seems pretty effective.

It's well designed and screwed together (2 year guarantee). It's a three stage process: 1 apply shampoo (using the applicator attachment which delivers a foam); 2 clean off (using the rotating pressure spray head which is height adjustable); 3. Apply after wash protector wax (again using the applicator). Takes only a few minutes for the whole process, and an easy add on prior to washing the car, and certainly preferable to leaving it knowing that salt is under there.

Switching between the attachments is very easy (simple bayonet fitting). It also comes with two lance extensions which are useful for the pressure washer with other tools as well. On the whole, a good buy I think.

Points to note:
- you need to have a Karcher pressure washer, it won't fit other makes.
- would not be suitable if you have lowered suspension; it has to be on the lowest height setting to fit under my QP.
- as supplied it only comes with sample quantities of the shampoo and protection wax (enough for one wash), you will need to order additional.

Not for me, the GS doesn't have complete under shields like fezza's and lambo's , so last thing i would want is water hanging or trapped underneath where im unable to dry it off , least the majority of road/rain water gets blown off whilst your driving , just booked sometime on a ramp next week so i can have a play underneat both of the cars , , sad i know but i want to polish my larini and touch up any parts that are showing slight signs of weather proof deteriation, oh and clean the wheels properly on the insides , be great to have some sun whilst im doing it.......its getting to that time of year thank god ..............seems to have taken an age to come round

I already have a Karcher, so I'll have to have a look at the attachment.
Loz, you are actually pi**ed then, or do you mean Autosol?? Have another one on me mate!! Exhaust cleaning party sounds cool, or hot depends on how you look at it.

on the subject - I would be concern about getting water force up the drain holes under the car and as Loz said not being able to dry it after - maybe good idea if use on lower presure and some sort of sealant is sprayed instead of water

...booked sometime on a ramp next week....

great idea - I think your local to me, which garage are you using ?

Ah yes, the exhaust has been bugging me, been meaning/wanting to clean it up for a while Gliptone(liquid leather) also used to sell metal polish but supplies cannot be sustained as far as I was led to understand.
