Just turned up, thanks to Jezza for suppling the old shoes, they are absolutely perfect, painted and stickered up with Lucas logos:

They are bonded with a much stronger glue than original, so they are less likely to de laminate, as what seems to happen a lot.

Yeah, I am chuffed to nuts!

Just not looking forward to fitting them, well adjusting them, they are a right nightmare!

Enz, what system for the handbrake does the QP use? shoes or callipers, they must have committed these shoes to history by now!

For the savings you've made on parts, surely it might be worth a trip to Mike Roberts and pay to have them fitted Matt? I hate adjusting handbrake shoes on cars!

I thing for new, they are £200 ish from main dealer and about £130 from Eurospares.

We only have one loan set at the moment, and they are in use. We are in the process of getting some more.

Save your old ones for us will you?

if i have to buy new, of course i will. Im all for members helping one another out. I reckon with my mate doing the MOT and a bit of adjustment i might just be able to hang on for the set already in circulation though. if i have time, i'll have a quick look tomorrow

Hi Matt,

Well, looks like these have not been committed to history!!
I am reliable informed that the QP has handbrake shoes in a drum just like the 3200s

Enzo.

Different from the GS part number is: 194876 and £60.43 plus VAT and delivery each. (bet they are the same)

Cheers Matt,
Mine was adjusted at the last service, and recently passed it's MOT...
Can't say it's the best handbrake I have ever had, but I never use it anyway :D
I will see if I can get hold of an old set and let you know,
Regards,
Enzo.
