Hi Guys, my name is Rumen and I am from Bulgaria. I just got my new 3200GT today and I'm exited about, but of course I have many questions to ask. I have searched the net and it seems, that this forum is the best place to do it.

I want to use the car as a daily driver and I'm already used to the pricey repairs, because I have a Ferrari F355 as a weekend toy. However, it seems that the Maserati parts are almost hard to find, compared to the Ferrari ones. As far as I know, in Bulgaria there are about 3 3200GTs, including mine, but the good news is that there is a fourth car, that they are selling for spares (an automatic unfortunately). We have a Maserati dealership, but my impression is, that the guys there are not knowing what exactly are they doing there...

I already answered some of my newbie questions thanks to this forum, but I will have plenty more for sure. Best regards to all :)

best colour :D

they are fine cars for daily drivers, thats all mine is used for.

edit, i was trying to think what looks so different from mine to yours, from the rear, just worked it out- mine has tinted windows! makes it look alot different, not sure which i prefer! (i bought mine with the tinted windows so had no choice lol)

Thank you very much guys. Beau - I will leave the windows, but the car has some paint differences, because of an unprofessional respray of the doors and front bumper, so I was thinking to wrap it in matte dark blue vinyl, because the interior is also blue. But I will see how it goes :)

About the questions - I was going to ask about the Throttle body problems, but I already found the answer about that.

Also - I will revise the engine, replacing all belts, tensioners, spark plugs and so on, but I also wanted to replace the water pump as a precaution. For the Ferrari there was a rebuild kit, but unfortunately haven't found one for the Maserati and 700 pounds from Eurospares seems ridicilous. Also - I will keep the car bone stock, but I am considering to buy BMC sport air filters as the only aftermarket feature. Not sure if this is a good idea though.

Welcome rumen, Bulgaria... nice, I've been to Sofia a few times and always enjoyed it.

I have a 3200GT too so feel free to ask away and please get used to "Check Engine" warnings :D

Welcome, I to love the colour. I have not heard of an alternative solution to the water pump, had to buy a new one myself 2 years ago, a bit cheaper then.

Congratulations on the 3200. I have been an owner of a 4200 CC for over a month which has been a great experience. Happy motoring rumen1.

Hi Rumen,
A warm welcome to the forum and a fine looking car you have..!! Would it not be better to have the car re-sprayed, rather than a wrap..?? The 3200 is an excellent car, but needs regular maintenance with quality oils etc..!! Any questions just ask and a few have workshop manuals if you get stuck..!! Some parts are shared with such as the Ferrari 550..!!
Cheers

As said; a lovely car is the 3200 but needs a lot of love. Don't skimp on maintenance and she'll love back as much as you love her...

I too have a 3200, the main issues are as follows;

15 year old rubber is now well past it, expect a hose or four to fail
When they do fail expect one or both knock sensors to follow
Ball joints are like chocolate
Bushes are like chocolate
Throttle bodies fail
Throttle pedals fail
Brake calipers stick and cause warped discs
Adaptive shock sensors break
Window regulators can cause issues with the 1000 micro switches Maserati installed
Regular Oil changes are a must
Regular cam belt changes are a must

Good luck!
