Its finally arrived, today is the FCA investor relations presentation day. The day when Sergio tells us what is supposed to happen model and powertrain wise for all FCA brands.

Then, over the next 5 years, there is a guessing game as to what will actually happen haha....

He'll mention Alfieri and then talk about more probable things such as competent Maserati Customer Service for legacy vehicles and unicorns.

No chance. Maserati looking after older vehicles? more chance of Liverpool winning the Champions League. And the final was last week!
They'll mention new engines for the the Ghibli and Levante. And that the QP will get a new dashboard.

As you were.

That Alfieri pic looks almost exactly like the silhouette of the new Alfa Romeo GTV which will be announced soon.
The GTV will have 600+BHP and E-Boost whatever that is. Probably something that is in the LaFerrari.

Its all going to come down to details and price ...

From the range info it looks as though the Alfieri will be the only one available as a soft top. Quite fancy that but I suspect its going to be crazy money.

So, waiting as I am to potentially get an Alfieri, that tells me nothing.....! Other than it will be here by 2022

Yup. I'd expect a little more from the Q&A session this afternoon. Should then get press releases for each brand with some indication of when. As usual the ambition is there but we'll have to see what can be delivered.

I'd say, given that Modena will stop building anything soon, that the Alfieri and 8C will start being built there by the end of this year. Possible Frankfurt Motor Show reveal for them both?

The figures, and targets, look good for Maserati. With 50k units this year and looking to expand to 100k by 2022 with a complete range refresh and electrification. Its not quite as mad as the previous 75k aim for 2018.

One other interesting thing is the typical ages of European Maserati drivers. I'm pretty much on par for that ;)

Nice random Ferrari slide.

I'll get more excited when I see the actual final products, spec and price list. And more so when I hear the noise they make. Or maybe not if they add too many batteries!

The new Alfa GTV looks good too.

I like the electrification on offer (more detail on the Alfa slides)... shouldnt lose the joy of the ICE (hopefully)

Tesla and Porche icons on p28????...so could we see VAG taking over?

Also I see on p24/25 3% Full Size Wagon...Estate on the cards?

That's just the market figures. There's nothing in the plan, no Maserati against that segment, to chase portion of that 3%. Why would they?

This looks very exciting for both brands to me, and a vindication of Marchionne’s strategy for rebuilding both businesses based on/from a strong commercial and profitable base. The numbers have looked impressive for a while, even if they haven’t quite hit their stretch volume targets, they’ve been achieving sustainable profitable growth. This now sets the plan to take both brands to the next level and deliver the future halo cars that all enthusiasts want.

In the wider FCA context Marchionne’s success in reducing/eradicating debt and achieving 11x profit growth in 10 years of stewardship also look pretty impressive.

I await the naysayers to shoot all this good news down though.

The Ferrari partnership is very encouraging especially if the Alfieri is in development with them. A little bit moist at the thought.

The Tesla and Porsche Logos are probably because both companies have waived patents on electric vehicles...just guessing...

I would guess that they are the leaders for performance electrics at the moment and who Maserati are taking a pot at.
