Hi everyone.

Thanks again for all the support you've given to me thus far.

I have more questions ....

What are your thoughts on having a complete under seal?

Has anyone replaced the SatNav unit to a touch screen (Android). Pictures and costs would be great.

What cleaning products and equipment would you recommend.

Can you recommend a company for parts. Need to replace the headlight washer lid?

Feedback and suggestion welcome.

Thanks.

I’d say you really must get an under seal done. They are very prone to rust and decay.
I had apple CarPlay fitted to my 2010 GT, it was part of a SportsMaserati group buy, I believe there is another current group buy going on at the moment. There’s a whole thread about this, have a look. Works perfectly with the touchscreen.
I use Zymol wax and Gliptone leather cleaner.
Try Eurospares or Scuderiacarparts.

Thanks Bebs.

Did you do the install yourself for Apple/Carplay? I'll search for the new thread.

Cheers!

Yes, do it

Which car? One thing to consider other than the cost is that you are messing with the originality of the car which in the UK can devalue it

What cleaning products and equipment would you recommend.
2+ bucket method, lambs wool wash mitt, alloy wheel brushes... Meguiars, poorboys, smartwax

Can you recommend a company for parts. Need to replace the headlight washer lid?
Maserati - Ross at Meridian Modena, I have found Dick Lovett Swindon helpful - ask for the 10% discount

Eurospares are often cheapest but my main criticism of them is that often they have sent the wrong parts - but they are usually a further 7% cheaper than the main dealers with the 10% taken off so if bottom line is important to you then you will end up ordering from ES more often than not

Feedback and suggestion welcome.

Thanks.

Thanks - it's a 2011 Granturismo.
Is there a particular product you would recommend for the under seal?

Cheers,

I’ve found main dealers especially Meridien are sometimes cheaper and quicker then Eurospares etc. Often worth a phone call.

Thank you.
As a complete novice, what does that mean? Is it an easy fix?
cheers

Don't take my word for it, but the regulator / rectifier is built into the alternator. One of the symptoms of them failing is that voltage can go over 12v. You'd see other issues as well, I suspect. For example the ZF box will lock into 3rd or 5th gear if it gets too high a voltage.

Fix would be new alternator which is a bit spendy but I think it needs a better diagnosis, first.

Do you even have info as to what component is throwing the code?

According to the f430 code file its the suspension sensor 2 is getting higher than 5.5 volts. If that helps.

Bilt hamber gets good reviews , they do a kit on ebay or dinitrol
If you're doing it yourself wait for summer so it's bone dry in all the spots you can't see
