First dibs to you lot on here, but will shortly go on t'bay.
So I've got a pair of Jaren modified (ie louder, and polished) GS boxes for sale that have been on my 4200 for 3 years.
I've always been more than happy with them, they look great and sound fantastic. Had them rigged up to key fob vacuum operation so can open & close manually....though they spent most of their life open :))
However, I recently fitted Larini Sports Cats, and now consider it just maybe too loud...
So I've put standard unvalved 4200 boxes back on (now it's too quiet again lol but that's my problem, ha ha).
What I'll probably go with now, if I can find them, is unmodified GS back boxes...
So: £800 asking for the boxes (bear in mind the Jaren work costs £600 and you need to have your own GS boxes to give to Jason to do).
Or, I'd consider a straight swap for unmodified GS boxes, if you have them. Collect in Leeds, I'm not doing postage on them. Or meet half way or something.

Full disclosure:
The valves rattle a bit on occasion. Mostly when setting off from a standing start / car park speeds. It's the same sort of noise you get when you manually shut the valves. You can live with it, as I did for 3x years, or have new valves welded in, you can actually buy them on Ebay & Amazon for about £50? But the valves absolute do work, never jam and change the noise level significantly.

there is a pair on EBay fyi
it is quite a challenge getting it right with Larini cats, I ended up putting soundproofing and drilling Tubi rear boxes which is about right

I think this is only one box? And it does look rough... I wouldn't be interested in that tbf

There are a pair though I agree they are rough.
As you have already removed yours which are already polished I would think that the most cost effective method would be to send them back to Jarens to have the soundproofing re-installed, unless someone wants a swap.

The sound proofing is some form of fibre probably packed by a machine. When you pull it out it will fill a big metal bin. I would look at originals and chopping in an electric valve.

Yeah this is what I was thinking. Although the only vgc 2nd hand pair of originals I've found so far, are £1k.... which is a bit steep

Are Granspirt different to 4200?
What Phil said. GS are valved, the valves open automatically on the GS, at higher revs, or I believe, always open in sport mode. Open = louder.
If you fit GS boxes to a 4200, you can fit key fob remote operation to the valves, which default to open. So effectively you have a key fob switch that gives you "quiet mode". This is what I had set up on my 4200.
If you're interested in doing this ask me or pm if you prefer. Its a very simple job for a garage and the parts cost peanuts.

Or you fit them to a 4200 without the key fob control and the valves are always open, which obviously gives you a permanent uplift in noise.. (still not as loud as a straight through box though).
