I thought that would grab your attention.

It's not what you all think! I have a new daily driver and I love it!

It's a limited edition (no. 20 of 210) Mini Works Challenge 210. They were built to celebrate Mini launching a new Cooper S challenge car and racing series. Basically it has every good option under the sun including Works engine pack, Works wheels, full leather, Works bluetooth carbon exhaust (yes, it is a thing!), full XL nav, Head up display, harmon kardon stereo, keyless, reverse camera, carbon mirrors, bonnet scoop, exhaust pipes, spot lights, xenon lights, adaptive dampers, black trim bits and on and on and on.....

There will be another new car down the line too, watch this space....oh and the although the Stradale is below, it's now on the way to it's new owner who will pop up when he's ready.

Love the mini. I have finally decided on a DD and am ordering tomorrow - it’s odd how it’s almost as exciting as buying the ‘toy!’what’s happening to the stradale? I thought you loved it and nothing could replace it? Have to say it’s looking **** good in that photo!

Love it....My wife had the one if the very first Coppers back in 2002 I think it was and it was a great little car. Yours looks even more fun.

I thought you sold the Strad ages ago? Didn't someone visit you up there a month or so ago?

I maintain to this day driving my Gen 1 MINI was the most fun I have had with clothes on. Every drive short or long felt like an adventure where it egged you on to punsh the limits and act like a loon at each and every opportunity. There are faster, prettier and more exptic cars but for smiles per pound this will take some beating. Enjoy.

Classy choice, Athol. Well done.

Chrisb - agreed! My first car was a W-reg mini 1000, and it was bloody brilliant.

The mini looks nice, but that black sporty thing next to it nicerer again!

You'll be trying to buy the Stradale back next spring, wait and see!

I don't think the mystery buyer will sell it back to me easily. The words "from my cold dead hand" spring to mind! :)

Nice choice. Really suits the colour too. Congrats.

Eagerly awaiting your next new car post. It'll have to go some to look, and sound better than that Strad though!

Head-up display on a mini now - why not on Maserati, Tesla etc.? I think every car should have one. (but I'm not offering to swap the maser for a mini!)

It has a Bluetooth activated valve which comes with a wee button thingy that turns it into a boy racer car. Amusingly it has a disclaimer saying “track use only” which I guess means they’ve never heard a Maserati with Larinis. It’s fun and I activate it all the time as it brings out my inner child.

So...
I'm driving about in a courtesy car from our insurance company at the moment. They told us since out Alfa 159 was so old (10 year) that the car would be downgraded.
They turned up with a brand new (311 miles on the clock) 5 door Mini Cooper S. Not quite as special as Athol's above, but it is a really nice car and has now landed top of my what car next list!

I feel like I've become victim of some elaborate advertising scam run through insurance courtesy car companies ;)

Mini's just aren't "mini" anymore. I think this needs rebadging as a "Maxi".

Hideous things!
