Actually there is one annoying point: the adjustable struts. If yours show an error and you absolutely want exactly the same (stock) ones then they might be difficult to find or even to repair. If you accept to use adjustable struts from other ghibli or late biturbo (and to weld the antiroll bar mounting) then it's not a problem.

the adjustable dampers are showing an error, but I’m told they default to the hardest setting anyway - which is not really a problem for me. It’s still softer-riding than any of my other cars, my wife’s E92 Touring included!
Part of me is on the fence about this; keep it as is, have it repaired, go for the AS Motorsport option, or maybe something bespoke from Nitron or Tractive. Thing is though, the first thing I’d do whenever I’d drive it is to stick it into 4 anyway…

The defaut position is 2. However if the adjustment is faulty it could be stuck in any position and not necessarily in the same positions.
The stock GT suspension is floppy, personally I don't like how they ride. The Cup springs are lower but not much harder, I had a set of them on my 430.

AS motor is a good stuff, I bought 3 sets for my cars :) . It's too low to my taste, but they use standard 62mm size springs so this can be changed.

As I recall, the optional gear knob was only a metal Momo job fitted by Meridien Modena after import, so nothing special. I may even still have one kicking about. I’ll check.

Congratulations on your purchase! A long time coming. I can remember seeing one for the first time on holiday in Suffolk in the hotel car park. It was Rosso Corsa, I would go out every evening with a glass of wine and just stare at it! This was the car that got me into the marque......Well done!

Great work Nayf! I know how much you’ve been hankering after one.

By the way, if you fancy a wingman next year, I’ve been talking about driving the Ghibli to Modena for a long time…

Congratulations !

Surely there must be jobs you can do or source yourself ? They know how to charge !!

Excellent! Definitely be up for that. A proper Maserati road trip.

I'm useless with spanners. I tried to do an engine swap on a W123 230C and I still feel the terror whenever I see one drive past.
Considering the W123 is about basic as they come, and the Ghibli isn't, I'll leave it to the professionals.

Congratulations, I’ve had a few green cars and that’s a lovely shade.
Best wishes on the restoration.

I've finally gone and done it, I've joined the ranks of Maserati owners.
I've bought a Maserati Ghibli Cup, a RHD 2.0 – one of 24 remaining. It's a project and is with McGrath and will be for some time, but it's good to finally actually own one, rather than just write about them and hang around here like a bad smell. I'll be writing about the process for Classic Cars magazine, though the first instalment won't be for a while yet.
Great. Wasn’t aware they were also delivered in green exterior. Very nice
