SORN-ing the car for the cold, salty, slippery season seems to have backfired, the weather has been so mild over here!

So im working from home this morning and being distracted by the sun glinting from the QP - its such a pretty car, I cant drive it, but I can check that it still works! open the door, the seat glides back, leave the key on for a few moments for everything to initialise, and bam... starts on the button - God I miss that noise!

Roll on april when it will be back on the streets!!

Oh, it was YOU I heard! :)

Similar situation here. I've not used mine since the salt went down. I always reckon it takes a few good days of rain to clear the roads. They're still a bit too light-coloured for my tastes. This weekend the rears are coming off for a deep clean and Autobahn treatment, and the underside can have a good wipe down and some ACF50 to deter corrosion and increase my willingness to go out for a spin even before the rains have washed the salt away.

haha! i did feel a little self conscious interrupting a peaceful spring morning! It made more noise after it was warm and I had turned the camera off!!

I thought that the white beast looked as though it hadn't moved for a while. A good clean is on the cards for me too - once the novelty of his new baby has worn off, I need my friend down with his new mop.

It is Ians plate - Im surprised it was on the car when I bought it - everything about that car was right! the colour, spec, plate, history, I was very lucky!
I have kicked myself though, after I collected the car, M9 BLX was available for a few hundred, but the wife didnt want bollox on her car and I wasn't planning on keeping the Alfa, so I let it pass, needless to say its gone and there is nothing to match!

I was lead to believe Ian, that it sounded a lot better when you had it! did you have a tasty exhaust system on her??

No, standard exhaust and in your video, it seems to be pretty much as I remember it tbh.
So pleased you clearly love the car. I will definitely look you both up when I am across that way sometime !

Took mine out yesterday.....hadn’t driven her at all after McGrath’s pre winter inspection and fix all....first I keep forgetting how stable and slow licence losing speeds feel in this car on an open road....second I love this car! The noise, the effortless power on the motorway, it’s hustleabilty on the A roads in sports...oh and did I mention the noise!

Yes it's a great car. I drive her around Llandow....such a big cat shouldn't handle so well. Ian may want that plate back now he is back in the fold ;-)

Copying Matt's, here's mine. Cold, so it didn't get any revs, but it really was a pleasure to start it even without going out for slither on these cold greasy roads and PZeros.

Thanks. It does sound good (secondary de-cat and remote valve bypass help), but lacks the low-end rumble and snarl that the Maser V8s have. Where it really gets jiggy is higher up the rev range, where the sound is intoxicating but the speedo is heading fast into the trouble-zone.
