Finally got the QP back after it got stuck at the dealers for 3 months due to lockdown. Just got to get the boot lock sorted and Autoshield are having a look at the variators.

Love that colour combo in a QP. You must be well chuffed to have her back home.

Dropped it off at AutoShield this morning for the variators. It’s already stripped down and Marios kindly sent some pics

Loving that colour scheme. Stunning.
I'm hoping to be at Autoshield later in the week for them to check over my new GC.
I can finish your job off while I'm there if I remember my set of adjusters. Sorry, hammers

I use Collinite 476. Makes the paint look deep enough to swim in

Certainly does the job on darker colours. I use it on my Azzurro Argentina and it's great for beading and protecting the paint, but light colours don't really shine like darker colours.

You’d probably do a better job than me! It’s also having a full service and gearbox oil change so will still be there later in the week.

Looks even better in the metal. Lovely thing, that colour scheme does things to me. Makes Merc or BMW's attempts at luxury look very silly.
I finished off the engine work for you, had some bits left over, camshafts n stuff, but popped them in a plastic bag just in case you wanted to keep them...

Whilst stripped down, is it worth changing chain tensioners?
No idea on life or material they are made out of, but I know a lot of cars where they disintegrate after so many miles. RR, BMW, Mini etc.

Just a thought.

Ok thanks. I’ll use them on the wife’s RAV. It needs a performance upgrade.
