Is anyone familiar with this Spyder?

Looking at this Spyder which has been for sale for a while.
It looks a good price for the miles, and I am not bothered about the cat d as it is priced accordingly.

I have been looking to add a car for a year or so now, and there are a few 4200 coupes that have been for sale for over a year. They seem to struggle selling.
Also a black high mileage spider that’s been for sale since Moses was a kid.

Any help greatfully received. Thanks.

Hi, not familiar with it I'm sure someone will be along that may be, have been watching that one, it has been up for a while, looks nice. The cat d wouldn't bother me either at that price.

Its an early one, with the plastic rear window, and the more bendy chassis! It's also lacking one or two of the desirable extras (Sat Nav etc)
That being said it does seem VERY cheap, even for a CAT D. Perhaps it doesn't look so nice close up? Possible need for a clutch?
I'd be looking for double that money if I was selling mine, and mine's done 66k miles!

Sat Nav is **** best use for the screen is to attach a suction mount for a decent standalone system. £11k is silly cheap even if it needs a clutch and a few other bits

If I was in the UK I would be all over that, it's got to be worth a look

Check the roof mechanism works properly, as they are not quick/cheap to sort out if wrong.

All the normal checks, clutch, roof, wishbones, fault codes etc plus the Cat D repair - even if any one of the list are needed it still would be a cheap for some summer fun

Spoke to them today, it's a blue car, and it's been wrapped in blue as well. This indicates to me the bodywork might be shite but it means checking out the repair would be a bit more difficult. Had a roof repair in 2012 as well apparently.

Probably the paint match was a bit off. But as usual, eyes wide open.

MOT History is fairly clean, the last one had an advisory on its brake pipes, which is typical of a car that age. check the wishbones and subframes for cracks and rust spots. If you can live with the wrap, keep it. I have the old Sat Nav discs and although clunky it does work. Don't bother with a Tom-Tom, that technology has been surpassed by Waze and other android apps. Wheel bearings tend to go too around that age, very easy to swap out at home.

Ok I am off to see it this week and if it all checks out it's mine.
Clutch was changed in 2012 - 10,000 miles ago. There is only one key, so i guess about £400 for a replacement with coding to the car ?

Thanks for your help it's appreciated.
